URGENT: Frigid weather will be moving into Montgomery County this evening and into next week. Please be mindful of this weather and the freezing temps.

The NWS is also calling for icing in the early morning hours of Sunday turning to rain, and possible light snow on Monday.

DO NOT leave pets outdoors and only allow them out for brief periods for normal exercise and potty breaks.

If your pet must be outside, you must provide adequate shelter and fresh drinkable water at all times.

Adequate Shelter is defined as:
- Constructed of sound and substantial materials that protects the
dog from inclement weather.
-Must have a roof and be enclosed on all sides with an entrance of
adequate size for the dog to enter.
-Must have a solid surface, resting platform, pad, floormat, or
similar device that is large enough for the dog to lie on in a
normal manner.
-Each dog outside must have access to its own shelter.

We also highly recommend providing your pet with insulating materials inside their shelter such as straw. Do not use blankets or other moisture absorbing materials as this can retain water and freeze.

Be cautious of freezing patios, sidewalks, and steps as well so your pet does not slip and fall and become injured.

Huge shout out to Twin Tails Animal Rescue!
They have been donating to us at Christmas time for a couple of years now. But this year I think they may have out done themselves. They have donated enough elevated beds for all of our big dog kennels, food, toys and blankets!
