Muzzle Training....Do you think every dog should be muzzle trained or not?
Personally I think they should. You never know when it might be needed. An injured dog in a lot of pain for example that needs to be examined by a vet.
Sasha is muzzle trained but I've not done any work with the muzzle for a long time. So I've just started her a little from the start to see if she remembered.
I train the muzzle by shaping and using the clicker to let her know that she has it correct and now she can collect her reward. Shaping is letting the dog work out what you want withoutany lure. Here I am just wanting a little duration to length of time she put her nose into the muzzle 🙂
