We had a blast at the big greeley kennel club show today! Gabby got her last 2 jumps in for her dock diving DN title! Yay!! Gabby is gwen and Guillermos grandma!
Our wonderful mentor, Kathy adams, got Guillermo back to being a pretty boy for the up coming shows! Check out his before and after! He hadn't been trimmed out since may! We did let him out to potty and he ended up peeing on his front legs (those boys!) So his after picture you can see his front legs look gross, but thats why lol.

We had a fun day yesterday at the ukc show in kiowa! Show 1, Wednesday won the class going winners (over another beautiful collie) and Wednesdays mom, esme (who was in the champion class) took best of breed over Wednesday, going into the herding group and winning a herding group 2! Our friend RJ got to handle esme in both! BIG thank you to RJ!

We had a blast at the local poodle party! Gwen and barbie attended (barbie is gwens mom) and eli came to! (Eli is gwens sister) lots of poodles attended and it was a perfect day to get in the pool! It was so nice to have met alot of people that have been in contact with me!

Our states poodle club, Columbine state poodle club (CSPC) is having their annual poodle fun day/picnic!! Non members welcomed to come and join in on the fun! All poodle sizes welcomed (must be dog/People friendly!)
We rented out the dock diving pool and agility field at K9cation (fully fenced in to let the pups run and play) life vest available to use! last year we had a blast here! It is a potluck so feel free to bring a dish to share :) no pup to bring? That's fine! Come socialize with other poodle people!

Gwen got her stitches removed today!! Yay! Vet said she is able to get groomed and be herself now! Yay! This holiday weekend i will be spending it by giving her a much needed groom!!! Gwen is back to her wild self! Her hair is a hot mess but we got this!
I sincerely apologize if I haven't responded to your messages recently! Gwen decided to eat something she wasn't supposed to and unfortunately she didn't p**p it out and it became lodged. Causing an obstruction 😬 thankfully the wonderful vet team at Full Circle Veterinary Care in johnstown, got her in for surgery and got it out! Now she's on the road to recovery! So no shows for her for a while! Here she is the following day (after surgery) back to her usual sassy self (they gave her a cute pink surgical suit to!) And the object she ate 🤦♀️

Argos is visiting Colorado with his family! They are going hiking! Argos was from esmes litter (esme and blackie) and Wednesdays brother! What a beautiful boy!
A very common question i get asked by potential families who are looking to get a puppy from me, is "are your dogs raised around cats?" And the answer is: absolutely! Pumpkin our cat helps raise all litters and really enjoys interacting with them! Today she hoped up on the table while I banded/wrapped Guillermos hair. She purred up a storm as she batted one of his wraps and rubbed herself all over his table mat and pillow lol
HUUUUUUGE HAPPY 1ST birthday to the twins, GG (gwen and Guillermo) and the rest of their siblings! Lily, Frankie, flare, Ezra, jack, eli, and saylor!
Gwen and Guillermo got to see their aunt Kathy yesterday for their big kid haircuts! No more puppy cut (akc showing, after they turn 1, they have to be in a continental, mc, or English saddle, no more puppy cut) they have another show this weekend up in Laramie wyoming! 1st picture is gwen and 2nd is Guillermo. I still need to keep growing more topknot and more neck hair on them!
Today we attended a AHBA herding trial and gabby went in for a leg toward her HCT. She passed with flying colors. Only one more leg for that title. AHBA allows a few selected none traditional herding breeds to participate for points/titles, standard poodles are on their approved list! Gabby is gwen and Guillermos grandma!
Another best in show brace! We competed against another lovely brace team for best in show brace today and won!
Woohoo! Esme took breed over Wednesday today and a group 3 out of a lovely line up 0f other herding breeds!
Esme and Wednesday competed in brace today! We went into best in show brace and won best in show brace against another lovely brace team! Brace is when you take 2 dogs in at the same time and not only do they have to look similar but they also need to move as one (need to be the same breed to). Basically creating the illusion that they are 1 dog :)

Woohoo! Show 1 today! Wednesday and I were in the bred by/breeder handler class and esme and our junior friend were in the Champion class (esme is a ukc champion and an akc champion, this is Wednesdays 1st time showing in ukc) me and Wednesday took breed over them and a group 4 out of a beautiful and very competitive line up of herding dogs! Under judge Matthew Proctor! He gave each group winner a critique and had nothing but amazing things to say about what he liked in Wednesday!
I will be showing esme and Wednesday this weekend, at the UKC show in Berthoud Colorado! Come say hi if you want! I know several people have been wanting to meet both girls! Wednesday is a class girl and esme shows in the champion class plus I'm doing brace with both lol

Today, with competion, Guillermo took winners AND BOB!!!! AND gwen took best of opposite AND BOBOH!!! in juniors Guillermo and Savannah took 2nd in their class!!! Now......Savannah (the junior) will be taking Guillermo into regular group and I will be taking gwen into owner handled group! Woohoo!! Under judge Jon Cole!

We did some more nose work practice tonight with the birthday girl! I decided to hide our birch today in my grooming area. Wednesday has never looked for it in here. Shes obviously been in here many times as this is where they get groomed lol but she's actually taking to this! This is a dog that picks up on things fast!. She sure showed me at the end when she slapped it out 🤣 lots more training to do but im very happy she's picking this up!
How smart are these guys? This smart. I knew from the moment I met their dad, ace, these guys were going to be super smart.....for the past several days, gwen has been getting out of her kennel. The first couple of times I thought I must of not latched it as I was rushing out the door. Came home and found gwen running around in the dog room. But after several more days of the same thing, I knew she was opening up the latch some how. So I stuck my phone in there and sure enough.......she can open the latch to her kennel! I put a collar around her gate so it doesn't open but still!!! Her poor brother is probably like "how did you do that!?" As he's not as clever as her lol. I swear its always the trouble making one's! Watch carefully.....
I often get asked if my puppies/dogs are raised around cats (its actually a very common question i get asked alot) and they absolutely are! Pumpkin our orange cat, is very hands on with all the dogs plus the puppies! She absolutely looooves to play with everyone. Here she had ran into my grooming room, hopped up in the table with esme and purred/played away ❤
Baby steps in training Wednesday for nose work! Started off with something easy and basic (tin can with birch was in one of the cups, I switched the cup around a few times, out of her sight)

So we have been training for barn hunt (Wednesday the collie) and our pet rats (Honey and Matilda) have been helping. We do have barn hunt tubes at home however no hay to hide then in etc. So I took Wednesday to barn hunt class last night. This was her first time in class, seeing/smelling hay bales and actually having to find the tubes hiding in the hay bales. She did great!! Took her a bit of time, but she found the tube with the rat in it (at the end you can see her trying to pull it out and then pawing at it) her second round went faster abd she found that rat right away! Our Instructor gave us alot of feedback! Some training today with Wednesday! She went right to the tube where Matilda (the rat) was in 🖤🖤 love that she was eager to show me to! Baby steps! Lol. Gabby ripped thru this and found her each time lol next I will be adding rat litter in the others. Let's see if Wednesday can keep it up! Its officially wrapping season! Gwen and Guillermo get to have their show hair wrapped up now! Here is gwen being a good girl! And staying still for more then a second! Lol. No they are not drugged or beat to lay down like this.

Had a very fun weekend helping friends show poodles and get poodles ready. I got to show baby spice, the mini poodle! Feels good to get back in the ring after sitting out for a bit
Lily (purple collar girl) is having a blast at a huge grooming expo (All American show) her mom took her and she was used a demo dog for a creative grooming course! She got some color on her ears, nails painted and a pretty bow! <3
So proud of these guys!!! Day 2 of sleeping in their crates for the night. 9pm-4:30am. Not a single peep. No messes. At 4:30am, I let everyone out (I help the pups on the top get down, I don't let them jump out) and they all ran to the back door to be let out to potty <3 this was me checking in on them maybe an hour after I put them up (the sounds in the back ground are from my macaw who was interested to know what I was doing lol) a couple of pups settling in <3
