Lee Smith is a working cowgirl and cattle rancher. She and her husband Mark live at Harmony Hills Ranch located outside of Estancia, New Mexico. Lee travels the country conducting clinics and helping riders and horses develop a better partnership and performance. She teaches in a way that is fun, easy to understand and learn from. Her first teacher, Ray Hunt, gave her the foundation for everythin

g she does with horses today. Lee emphasizes communication with your horse without force or fear and developing a willing partnership. She brings a wealth of knowledge and real life “from the saddle” experiences to her teaching. Regardless of your riding discipline – Lee’s concepts and approach works! She will help you develop your horse to be soft, gentle, responsive and relaxed in every situation.

🌟🌟MIDWEST HORSE FAIR CLINICIAN ANNOUNCEMENT:

Lee Smith and her Essential Elements of Horsemanship return to the Midwest Horse Fair!

Her Essential Elements of Horsemanship will offer a skill set to riders that has been acquired from a lifetime of developing horses, as well as her 40 years of conducting training and horsemanship clinics around the world.

Lee is a gifted and eloquent teacher who has extraordinary insight into horses and people! She teaches people to learn from the horse. Lee will help a rider unlock their potential to understand the mind, body, and spirit of the horse using what naturally happens and then show the rider how to appreciate and build upon the incredible moments of harmony that are possible. In her clinics, Lee will share her philosophy on building the confidence of the horse and rider through mutual trust and respect.

Lee has been a presenter at multiple A Legacy of Legends events in remembrance of her friend, the late great Ray Hunt. Lee has also been recognized as the The Art of the Cowgirl Master Horsewoman from the event’s inception.

Lee and her husband, Mark, live on their Harmony Hills Ranch in Estancia, New Mexico, where they have a cow-calf operation and raise quality Quarter Horses.
