Provide Clear Instructions: Ensure your sitter knows your pet’s routine, feeding schedule, medication needs, and any specific behaviors to watch for. Leaving detailed written instructions can help maintain consistency and reduce stress for your pet.

Meet and Greet First: Arrange a meet-and-greet between your sitter and your pet before the actual sitting dates. This helps your pet get comfortable with the sitter and allows you to observe how they interact.

Prepare Emergency Information: Leave emergency contact information, including your vet’s details, and ensure the sitter knows how to handle any potential emergencies. Providing backup contacts can also be helpful if you’re unreachable.
