(Camden, SC) Hello! We are the "South Carolina Four" -- LUCY, MACY, MISTER, and SQ**RT! We are four purebred Boston Terriers who were surrendered by a South Carolina breeder who didn’t want us any longer. Thankfully, Danny & Ron's Rescue took us in and gave us the care we needed. All four of us were heartworm positive and needed medical care, but after going through treatment, we’re now ready for a fresh start and a forever home.

We might need a little time to feel comfortable in new situations, but once we know you’re our friend, we’re all in! Each of us is still working on our leash-walking and house breaking, so we’ll need a patient adopter who’s willing to help us continue learning. Don’t worry—we’re quick learners, especially with a little encouragement and love! We’re also good at the vet and pretty relaxed in the car, but our favorite place to be is right by your side.

(Camden, SC) Hello! My name is Sq**rt, one of the "South Carolina Four." I’m a Boston Terrier with a personality that’s sure to keep you on your toes. My journey hasn’t been the easiest—I was surrendered by a South Carolina breeder along with three of my pals, and after undergoing heartworm treatment, I’m finally ready to find my forever home.

I’ll be honest—when it comes to other dogs, I prefer to be the only one in the spotlight. Sharing my space isn’t really my thing. I’m also a bit shy around new people and need a slow introduction to feel comfortable. But once I warm up to you, I’m a sweet boy who just needs some time to adjust to new social situations.

I’m still working on my leash manners, so I’ll need a patient adopter who can continue helping me with my training. I’m good at the vet and pretty indifferent about car rides—they don’t bother me much. That said, I can be a bit stubborn at times and might test your patience just to see what I can get away with—think of me as the toddler of the dog world!

I do have a bite history, so I need an experienced dog owner who understands my quirks and can help me grow into the best companion I can be. If you’re up for the challenge, I promise to fill your home with love and just a little bit of mischief.

My journey hasn’t been the easiest—I was surrendered by a South Carolina breeder along with three of my friends, and I had to go through heartworm treatment. But now that I'm all better, I’m ready to find a family where I can finally settle down and live my best life.

I’ll be honest—I’d prefer to be your one and only furry friend. I enjoy being the center of attention and would rather not share my space with other dogs. When it comes to people, though, I’m all in! I absolutely love being held and cuddled, and if you’re looking for a loyal companion who thrives on snuggles, I might just be your perfect match.

I’m still working on my leash skills, so I’ll need a patient adopter who can help me continue to learn and grow. Don’t worry—I’m a quick learner, especially when I know it’ll make you happy! I’m also good at the vet and pretty laid-back when it comes to car rides—nothing really bothers me.

I came from a tough situation—a breeder in South Carolina who didn't want me anymore—but that's all behind me now. You see, four of us were given up at the same time, and while it was scary at first, I'm feeling pretty hopeful these days.

I’ve finished my heartworm treatment, so I’m all set to start a new, happy chapter in my life. I get along well with other dogs, though I prefer to take things slow and steady when making new friends. I’m a calm and affectionate girl who absolutely adores people. (Camden, SC) An overwhelmed owner found herself facing a tough decision—she needed to find new homes for over a dozen purebred Boston Terriers, her cherished companions. Life had taken an unexpected turn, forcing her to move from the only home these dogs had ever known. With a heavy heart, she reached out to Danny & Ron’s Rescue, knowing her dogs would be loved and well cared for until they find a perfect home.

These Boston Terriers, ranging in age from 6 months to 5 years, were never bred for sale. What started as just a few family dogs quickly grew into a lively pack after a couple of litters—nature had its way of course, and soon the house was filled with these snufflers. Danny & Ron’s Rescue is ensuring each dog is fully vetted, vaccinated, heartworm tested, spayed or neutered, and microchipped.

*** IMPORTANT *** We will provide specific details about any of the Boston Terriers until they are all fully vetted! However, we will accepting general applications now --- you can mark your application for the "BOSTON TERRIER PACK" and leave your preference for male or female. (Camden, SC) Hello there! My name is Bailey, and I’m a sweet little Shih Tzu with a soft spot for peace and quiet. I came to Danny & Ron’s Rescue after my previous owner couldn’t find enough time for me. I’m a bit on the shy side and loud noises aren’t my favorite, so I’m dreaming of a calm, serene home where I can just peacefully coexist with someone who understands my gentle nature.

My ideal home would be a quiet haven, where we can enjoy one-on-one time together. I’m all about the simple joys—relaxing by your side, feeling safe and cozy in my covered dog bed, and just soaking in the comfort of a calm environment. I do okay in the car, but I’m happiest when I’m in my familiar surroundings. Routine is my best friend, and I like having a little space to call my own.

I’m good with other dogs, but I do need a slow introduction. Sometimes, I can get a bit overwhelmed and need a moment to decompress, but with a little patience, I bounce back just fine. (Camden, SC) Hey there! I’m Truffle, a mixed-breed mama with a heart full of love and a story to share. My journey began when a kind soul from Danny & Ron’s Rescue found me on the side of the road. After a trip to the vet, we got some surprising news—I was expecting eight little bundles of joy! Thankfully, one of the rescue workers took me into her home, where I could safely and peacefully bring my pups into the world.

I’ve settled into home life like a pro. I get along great with other dogs, kids, and pretty much everyone I meet—making friends is kind of my thing! I’m also pretty good at letting you know when someone’s at the door. Whether you’re in the mood for a morning run or a cozy movie night, I’m your girl. I’m happy to go with the flow.

Living in a foster home has given me the chance to master potty training, and I’ve nailed it! I’ll let you know when it’s time for a bathroom break, and I’ll be back inside in no time, ready for a treat. I also love car rides and have perfect leash manners. Honestly, I’m the full package—sweet, loyal, and always ready to alert you when someone new comes over.

(Camden, SC) Hi there! My name is Edna, and I’m a sweet Lhasa Apso mix with a heart full of love to give. My journey hasn’t been the easiest, but it’s made me stronger and even more ready to find my forever family.

I was found alone and pregnant, and things were looking pretty rough when I ended up in animal control. But then Danny & Ron’s Rescue stepped in, just in time to make sure I didn’t have to bring my puppies into the world in a shelter. They brought me to their Doghouse, and soon after, one of their wonderful team members took me into her home as a foster. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to rest and raise my babies!

I have a soft spot for kids—they make me feel safe and happy. I’m also pretty chill around farm animals, so I’d fit right in if you’ve got a few. I’ll need a secure fence in my new home, though. Sometimes, if I get startled, I might run off, so a safe yard is a must. I’m a great travel buddy and handled all those vet visits like a pro, even with my puppies in tow. I can be a little shy about having my head touched at first, but with a little patience and kindness, I’ll warm up and show you just how loving I can be.

🌪️🐾 The Doghouse is preparing for Hurricane Debby! 🐾🌪️

Say a little prayer for Danny & Ron's Rescue -- we're right smack dab in the path of Hurricane Debby heading to South Carolina. Getting close to 150 dogs ready for a storm that could bring up to 24 inches of rain over 3 days is no small feat! Our furry friends aren't too thrilled about rainy walks, but safety comes first!

We've got extra staff planning to stay overnight, thunder shirts and calming meds ready for our nervous pups, and our vehicles and generators topped off with gas. Our sump pump will be working hard to keep us dry!

To everyone in the storm's path, please make sure fences are secure, your pets are wearing collars and ID tags, your microchips are up-to-date, and you have plenty of pet food and emergency supplies on hand. Don't forget to check on your elderly neighbors to ensure they're prepared too. Stay safe, everyone! 🐶❤️

Meet our amazing adopter, Barbara Corey, and her adorable new furry friend, Smiley! 🐾 It’s only been one week since Barb brought Smiley home, but it already feels like a match made in heaven.

Barb’s heart was heavy after recently losing her beloved Buddy, a loyal companion she adopted from Danny & Ron’s Rescue back in 2014. After 10 wonderful years together, she knew it was time to open her heart to another dog in need. That's when she reached out to Danny and Ron, hoping to find a new best friend.

Enter Smiley! 😄 This little white fluff ball has brought so much joy and laughter into Barb's life already. Thank you, Barb, for choosing to adopt again and giving Smiley the loving home he deserves!

Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control is seeking help from our community on behalf of our shelter pets!

The dryer in our shelter laundry room broke and we have not been able to get it fixed. Our amazing staff is stepping up to bring laundry home, but our kennels and clinic are in need of clean towels and linen to ensure that our pets can be kept clean and comfortable over the weekend.

If you, your friends, or your neighbors have clean linen and towels that can donated to help our animals, they would be greatly appreciated!

ADOPTED! 🌟 Terrific Triscuit is now part of the Parkinson Family! They met during the Blowing Rock Horse Show this weekend and instantly connected. 🐾

Triscuit was turned in to a local shelter as a stray in poor condition, and no owner could be found. Luckily, Danny & Ron came to his rescue. Now, he's ready to enjoy a new life filled with love and care.

ADOPTED! 🌟 Tootsie is all grown up and has found her forever person during the Blowing Rock Horse Show! Brooke Geddes met this brindle beauty and made her part of the family. 🐾

Tootsie was found as an injured stray puppy with an abscess jaw injury. It took several weeks for her to heal properly, and in the meantime, she became a staff favorite. Now, she’s starting a new chapter filled with love and care. ❤️

Congratulations to Tootsie and Brooke! Thank you for giving this sweet girl a loving forever home. 🎉

ADOPTED during the Blowing Rock Charity Horse Show! SAINT found his best friend in Grace Walker!

Saint came to Danny & Ron's Rescue in the summer of 2023 and he was in very rough shape, heartworm positive, and had a leg injury. Danny & Ron fixed him up, and although he will need twice monthly injections for joint pain, he remains a true gentleman!

ADOPTED today at the Blowing Rock Charity Horse Show! PRESTON met the perfect person in adopter Noel Fauntleroy!

PRESTON came to Danny & Ron's Rescue in the summer of 2022 from another rescue that needed some help. He was immediately adopted, however two years later he was returned to our rescue because he was "not a good fit." Well, we think we've found Preston the perfect fit now! By the look on his face, we think Preston agrees! Thank you Noel Fauntleroy for adopting this handsome fella!

Missy came to Danny & Ron's Rescue in January when her owner could no longer care for her. Sadly, she was heartworm positive but completed her 4-month treatment like a champ and is ready for a new life!
