Update: Adopted!
Poor sweet Leroy!
This 15lb boy is using his sweet chirp to draw you in. He is extremely affectionate and friendly. He can be indoor\outdoor, but this boy needs to be around his people. Won't you bust him outta here?!
The person who got him to us believes he may have been left behind or dumped.
Dislikes: Being cooped up!
Likes: You.

We can't believe Samson has still not been snatched up!
This is a good dog you guys. He is good with all other animals, all people, kids.
He wants to hang out next to you. He is happy and engaging. He loves toys and will "collect" them. He is just the right size at about 50 \55lbs.
He is sweet and will love all over you, or just hang out and watch while you work. He wants to be right by your side.
He howls when we leave him. I don't think he would do this in a home. He is used to good care. His owner was heartbroken to have to surrender him, and he has clearly been well loved and worked with.
This guy is the definition of man's best friend. I love this boy and you will too. He will not be a burden on any home.

Adoption story....
Nora was abandoned in bad shape physically in November of 2023, with horrible matting. In December 2023, she was transported to Colorado from Arkansas, and adopted to a wonderful and loving home. Now, in November of 2024, she is a happy and thriving family member.
Love and support does amazing things for humans AND animals.
(I had made a post with the wrong photo initially, so I have updated this 😅)
Donate, adopt, volunteer, like, share, save a life. 🐾💕🐾💕
UPDATE- He will be going on a home trial! 🙂
Samson!
2yrs, 50lbs, pyrenese\lab mix
Good with dogs, cats, kids, and what are strangers!? This dog is *chefs kiss*.
This sugary treat of a boy was surrendered due to no fault of his. Unfortunately his owner who loved him very much had circumstances that forced him to surrender Samson.
He wants nothing more than a sweet home for the Pawlidays!

Update: Adopted!
Featuring Volunteer Amy and adoptable Betty!
Betty is about 30lbs, small dog mix, 3 to 5 yrs, who needs a calmer home. Learn more about Betty by viewing our "Adoptables" album.
Amy is passionate about positive reinforcement training, and she has helped Betty grow leaps and bounds!
"I volunteer because I love animals -especially dogs- and love being part of a team that wants to help the dogs and cats brought to the shelter feel loved, safe, and cared for. These animals have so much love and joy to give! They make it easy to take a little time out of my schedule to love them back, develop trust and share enriching moments with them, and that gives them a chance to find a loving forever home! I can't have all the animals, but volunteering is a way to help all of them, and that saves lives... theirs and mine." 🐾❤️
Update: ON HOME TRIAL!
Kota, loving on a volunteer this morning. These are the sweet moments you get from volunteering!
Kota is about 40lbs, collie\lab, 2 years, available for adoption! You can find more about her in our "Adoptables" album, or you can text Jim for a meet and greet.
Featured volunteer is Jolleen,
"I volunteer to help my community. I do it to help some of the most vulnerable people and animals. And I do it to make myself a better and more rounded person emotionally. I do better giving back to my community."
Adopted!
Betty, 30lb, 3-5 yrs, small dog breed mix...maybe cattle dog. Good with other respectful dogs, could adjust to a cat with proper introduction. She is a bit like a piglet in many ways! She loves rolling around, sunbathing, and spinning at dinner time. She is a great office buddy and loves cuddles.
Betty had a big change when her owner was put into long term care and she was put in the noisy pound. She had not had a lot of proper socializing and also has some damage to her teeth indicating she may have chewed something rough over time. But her health is unremarkable other than that.
Betty doesn't like to kiss on the first date. She may have also had some mistreatment, due to this she needs to warm up to you. She has been going through professional training and is with a devoted foster and volunteer. If you are willing to do two or three meetings with her, and learn her commands, you will have a devoted and loving companion for life.

Hoover in his new digs!!!
A BIG Thank You to his now forever family for choosing adoption and his fur siblings for welcoming him with open arms.
Congratulations Hoover!!! 🐾❤️🐾❤️🐾.
Betty doesn't want NO scrubs! No strangers, no grabby kid paws, no touchy until she says so! She loves gentle dogs (smaller ones are better, though she has been good with some big dogs) and cats, and is a LOVE bug with all of us volunteers. Betty is currently in doggie training to work on her fears. You see, Betty needs an adopter who kinda likes solidarity, and maybe they also understand what it's like to not want STRANGERS to touch you??? She doesn't get it. We do, she is cute. Betty likes rolling around, and she snorts a little. We think she is half pig. She's a little playful, but would really enjoy just hanging out by your side.
Betty is about 30lbs and 5-6 years old. She was surrendered after her owner had to go into long term care. If you or someone you know is willing to spend a little time gaining Betty's love, she will be your Betty buddy for life.
