Here is a round up of the awards we achieved
It has been an amazing experience and I will be writing a full post, but wanted to make sure you could see how well the team did. They were absolutely amazing.

Jason Smawfield-Huby, from Weel also made history by becoming the first ever
Over 55 World Champion in the Small category.

Medals were won in the following competitions:

Gold Medals:

Jason Smawfield-Huby, from Weel with his Miniature Poodle Cotton Candy Sunshine (Hope) in the Over 55 Combined (Agility/Jumping) - Small competition

Silver Medals:

Alayne Lamerton, from Ringwood, with her Border Collie Fandabidozi Arise Sir Wish (Swish) in the Over 65 Combined (Agility/Jumping) – Large competition

Bronze Medals:

Alan Bray, from Milton Keynes, with his Border Collie Ag Ch Devongem Blade Runner at Upanovatigers (Ticket) in the Over 65 Combined (Jumping/Agility) – Large competition

There was also further success for the team, with the following placings in individual competitions:

First place:

Second place:

Steven Seale, from Leicester, with his Border Collie Devongem Try Fleck (Flec) in the Over 65 Agility – Intermediate competition

Third place:

It has been such an honour to lead this team, but I would not have been able to have done it without my team of Lisa Harvey, Bernadette Olsson Bay, Susannah Chalmers, Carole Stapley, Alison Gayton (Trevor Alison) and Paul Sensky. Your guys are just amazing

Our Team put in World Class runs, and they have definitely shown and proved that we were meant to be there, and we're now looking forward to 2025 in Abrante, Portugal.

Our final result of the day was in the 55+ Individual Intermediate Agility.
With Alan Wildman gaining a Bronze, with an absolutely fantastic run.

Another thing we are seeing is the white dogs that run the course for the judges benefit. If the judge is not happy with how it runs, they can, and have, changed the course to make it run smoother. They then rerun the white dogs to make sure the course works. This happens before the handlers are allowed to walk the courses

Saturday morning, 55+ Individual Jumping Courses
No such thing as 10m between obstacles. Very tight distances (Min 4 or 5 depending on height, max 7) with lots of off course obstacle discrimination.

Today's competition has been absolutely amazing, with such a fantastic atmosphere you really need to be here to know how great it really is.

Thanks to the brilliant performance of the Teams in the jumping today, we are still in contention for medals in all heights. Especially our Small Team who finished 2nd overall.

In the 65+ We saw some stunning almost runs, alongside the amazing clears put in by Bill, Peter and Alayne. With Alayne leading the way, having to run from ring to ring, and putting in 2 individual clears and a 3rd place with Swish.

Not long now until we make the journey to Belgium, for the inaugural Senior Open World Championships.
Myself and my team have worked really hard to make sure this has been able yo happen, and that GB have a fantastic team. I'm really looking forward to helping them all fulfil their dream of competing for their country.

On Sunday we had our second Team meet up and training, at our Team Manager's venue, SmartPaws Dog Training Centre.
We had a team chat and got the opportunity to ask lots of questions, which was really informative and useful.
We also received our Team Kit, this has made it feel all so real now, and everyone was so positive and excited about making history and showing the World that there is definitely life in us Seniors.

It's starting to get very real now and as most of our team members don't know each other, we organised some meet ups.

The members attending Lune had an initial meet and greet organised by Michael Harrison and then they had a Team training session organised by Paul Mackay.

We'd like to thank Dylan Osborne for taking time out to come and do some training with the team. Such a valuable experience for those that could attend.
