Two bonded siblings were surrendered by their owners because they had too many animals. They are very scared, but owner said they are sweet when in a calm environment. 🚨DEADLINE: 3/3 AT 5P

This young girl had a child’s toy stuck around her neck and we are uncertain how it got there. We can only imagine how she felt as she continuously tried to free herself only to make it cinch tighter around her neck and leg. We assume she was found dragging this toy and trapped so she could be brought to the shelter and freed from this weighing her down.

The shelter team sedated her and removed the tightly adhered toy from her revealing deep wounds from her right axillary area to her chest . They where infected and so the team cleaned them per standard protocol.

This girl has been living a nightmare and now needs the ultimate 2nd chance at a better life.

Upon intake Molly was very anxious and fearful of handling/struggled a little while being transferred into a carrier. She also had her ears back.

BONDED PAIR UP FOR ADOPTION.....................

Miley was found with her sister Cindy in a barn when she was just a few week old. In very poor condition, not hopeful to survive-thank goodness a veterinarian technician came along and found her and her sister and saved them!
Her eyes were in bad shape. With the help of medication, hospitalization, and lots of caring nurses and veterinarians, this girl pulled through. Although Miley did end up losing one eye, she is so much happier now that it’s gone and has full sight of her other now.
Cats with one eye do very well and other than not going outside, this shouldn't impair her in the least! She'll be just as loving, playful, and wonderful and any kitten!

Throughout this time, she and her sister, Cindy, have become extremely attached. They really were there for each other for these many weeks. When one is out of view, the other is always looking for the other! These two must stick together! They are bonded sisters, so they will be adopted together! Anyone lucky enough to give these girls a good life will be rewarded with lots of love, fun, and happiness! There is a discount for 2!

As you can see from her photo, 3-month-old Toothless is a bit shy. She was living in a cat colony and brought to the shelter by a Good Samaritan. Although she is timid, she is cautiously friendly and a big part of her really wants affection and love. We just need to find her a family that will help her with that little part of her that is unsure of the world. With love, affection, patience and the right family to care for her, Toothless will gain some confidence and become a cherished family member.

This headline grabbed me: an unheard of NINE times listed on the emergency placement list at ACC.

I've pulled from ACC a handful of times over the years, but my focus has always been on going out in the field myself, and saving cats directly from the street. I barely have the resources to keep up with the cats who I find outside let alone take from the city shelter.

But when I saw BEBE was listed for a ninth time, and reading her description of being unhandleable and aggressive, I figured her time was really going to be up, and to no fault of her own.

Oftentimes people bring feral or semiferal cats inside, often to the cats' detriment and, when a life situation changes, the person wants to dump the cat at the shelter, knowing he/she will not thrive there. BEBE had an owner, who put a bell collar on her at one point, and then dumped her at the shelter because of her aggressive behavior.

There are 300 New Hope partners who were eligible to pull her, and she went up nine times. I want to give her a fighting chance. Doing TNR for years, I will be able to see if she's a former feral, semiferal, or overly temperamental housecat. I will find the right setting for her.

It doesn't help that at three years old, BEBE hadn't even been spayed yet. She's getting fixed tomorrow and will be coming to me in a few days.

Let's see how she does.

ANYONE WANT TO SOCIALIZE A KITTEN?

Keeping kittens in cages doesn't help their social progress, however that is where they start off after being rescued. The problem is when there are either not enough fosters, or too many cats. I just got this little guy a few days ago, and he needs some attention.

He's no bigger than two pounds and feels like a feather when carrying him around. Without more attention, he will become more withdrawn.

THE OBLIGATORY "BEG FOR FOOD" POST

I couldn't be creative with today's post. It's just an update on my latest rescue efforts.

Recently I trapped friendly adults during TNR projects.

BUTTONS, LILA, MR. SANDMAN, FINLEY, LUCY, and WEEGEE are all adults added to my foster network in the past month.

I also rescued three litters of kittens in the past 10 days, and all feral moms have either been TNR'd or are still nursing them.

I'm still doing TNR, going neighborhood to neighborhood following a pages long list of requests that I'm going to be working on for awhile.

I need many things, but for today I am updating my Amazon Wish List in hopes that I can get a lot of food and supplies sent in the next week or so.

You slowly watch me disappear as I sit helpless hoping to be shown mercy. I was once a long haired sought after kitten but now my mane has been turned to mats. My ears sit tattered and torn showing the years of physical hardships I’ve encountered on the streets alone. My teeth are stain and chipped but I’m ravishing hungry so to survive I push away any pain I don a collar from my past life which has eaten into my soul and reminds me of the memories of once was of my life and has caused my skin to become irritated. My spirit slowly fades away as I sit losing all hope in mankind and this world. My ghost of what was once of me will soon be all that’s left if help doesn’t come soon.

In 12 June 2021 I found my pet lying on a field near my home and couldnt walk at all. Immediately I took him in the vet of the village and they make him some injections for pain cause he look terrible and he couldnt even open and close his eyes from pain after those they cause to him.
