Nervous kids surrendered now need a plan…

❌SPRUCE-A0052086278-RESCUE PULL❌

Two bonded siblings were surrendered by their owners because they had too many animals. They are very scared, but owner said they are sweet when in a calm environment. Can a rescue take on two scared kitties and make them feel safe again? Directions are below for interested rescues. The shelter is very full and deadlines are coming every week. So it's imperative these two get rescued as soon as possible.

🚨RESCUE PULL ONLY🚨

Rescues may contact the Khs rescue coordinator at [email protected]

Rescues please message us for 911 email to pull from euthanasia and with any questions and may be able to assist and direct you accordingly.

Out of State Rescues are welcome. You will need to fill out a KHS agreement, have a valid state license and 501c3. Please also have transportation options to assist as well because we are a small organization of volunteers and at times have limited options.

🚨Foster to Adopt🚨

Many rescues allow foster to adopt on RESCUE PULL ONLY cats but need an approved application and we have to follow state guidelines that are enforced by the Kansas Board of Agriculture. This includes applicants animals being up to date on vaccinations and altered.

**Fosters/Adopters reach out to a rescue you are affiliated with ASAP or send us an application to a rescue and contact them to see if they will allow these guidelines. We can also put you in touch with many rescues who will assist and help with foster to adopts.

We have list of many rescues who would be willing to assist or are needing fosters to assist. If you are not in the Wichita vicinity we will put you in touch with the closest rescue who will assist at this shelter.

***these cats are not in our care and currently in the possession of the Wichita Animal Shelter. We are a group of rescue volunteers trying to network and expose these lives at risk to help get them to safety. We are not affiliated with the Wichita Animal Shelter and are allowed to evaluate these cats in need to help find them placement. We do this as a courtesy for the cats, the public and humanity

Tethered down with no escape…

🚨DEADLINE: 3/3 AT 5P

This young girl had a child’s toy stuck around her neck and we are uncertain how it got there. We can only imagine how she felt as she continuously tried to free herself only to make it cinch tighter around her neck and leg. We assume she was found dragging this toy and trapped so she could be brought to the shelter and freed from this weighing her down.

The shelter team sedated her and removed the tightly adhered toy from her revealing deep wounds from her right axillary area to her chest . They where infected and so the team cleaned them per standard protocol.

This girl has been living a nightmare and now needs the ultimate 2nd chance at a better life.
