Savvy is a Pearlie X Barbossa

DOB : 07/04/2023

She is up-to-date on all shots, is microchipped, BAER tested normal and has Optimal Selection DNA testing (OS is pending as I just sent it off today). She is out of health tested and titled parents. She is also currently on Trupanion health insurance and is AKC and ABCA registered. She is a smaller girl and is around 27 lbs and probably around 18".

Savvy is a VERY sweet girl. She is very loving, affectionate, and craves attention. She wants, or rather demands snuggles. She is very biddable and wants to please. She is also very loyal to her person. She is off-leash reliable, travels well, and kennels well. She settles well when not working or playing, and is easy to have around the house. She loves to lay with you while chewing on hooves and water buffalo horns. She loves to work with you and has basic obedience foundations, and was doing free shaping well with her previous family. She gets along well with other dogs, especially ones she has gotten to know. She has had disc foundations and gets extremely excited when a disc comes out. She loves toys and is VERY food-driven.

Savvy is a 1 person (or family-only) type girly . She prefers to ignore other people unless they are in her inner circle or unless they have food.

Savvy will be an amazing sports girl, as she has a good start on disc and seems to love it. I feel she would also excel in agility and depending on how long I have her I may start to do some foundations (on the flat) with her there. I also may start her on some scent work foundations. She saw ducks when she was 9 weeks and had mild interest, and again depending on how long I have her I might introduce her to sheep should the opportunity arise. I have also played a round a little bit with heeling and she will very easily be able to get a focused heel for rally or whatnot. She was a keen swimmer as a baby but hasn't seen water in a few months due to the winter.

She will be an amazing sports girl for someone. However, there are a few stipulations that I feel she needs based on my current assessment of her needs due to her personality and age. She needs a home that isn't chaotic, as in not having a lot of people coming in and out constantly. I also would prefer a home that doesn't have a lot of other current dogs as I feel she would thrive with more 1 on 1 time, as she craves to be someone's super special girl. ( the only reason I am saying that is just because I feel she would Thrive much more with more personalized time. She loves to play with other dogs but I think she loves having more personal time with her people more!)

This girl definitely inherited her mother's sweetness and will be the best girl for someone!

It took me a while to decide where the boys were going . This guy would have worked in any of the other homes the boys went into as well as he's a pretty versatile boy. This boy is wonderful he is sweet, he is cuddly, and he has a lot of Drive (going to be high drive). He also loves to play with toys and he settles well in a crate (we have just started crate training though).

He has gone swimming a couple times now and looks like he's going to be a strong swimmer. He has also been exposed to Ducks once as well and he's definitely seemed to have interest.

It would be really tempting to keep him if Dutchman wasn't still so young and of course the thing is as a breeder I really need to look into a girly for my next puppy. Pearlie and Barbossa have been busy this week. Hopefully we will have puppies on the ground the beginning of July. Both dogs are very tallented and amazing. Puppy spot light:
TTP Leviathan "Levy" with Vanessa Fanelli and TTP Good Vibes "Karma" with Brianne Elizabeth Farr , each had their agility debuts this weekend with their wonderful people! Both were entered in NADAC intro classes.

Bonus, Levy also earned his barnhunt Novice title and 2 legs of Open!

Both pups are doing foundations in multiple sports (as is the rest of the litter too!).

Can't wait to see what all these 2 and the other pups can do!

The old man did it! Pending AKC approval, Sparrow earned his Rally Championship (RACH). This title is extremely special to me in the fact that Sparrow was my very 1st competition dog and so with that he lacked a lot of the foundations the others have. Also if you consider our accident we weren't sure we were going to be able to earn this, but here we are! This dog is one in a million. Almost 12 years old, and still proving he has heart.

Please participate if you have a border collie that fits either category ( Which is either having been diagnosed with idiopathic epilepsy or an 8 or over dog who has not). We are thankful that we are able to help at least a little bit by providing a sample for what I'm assuming is the control group, as Tortuga's Little Jack Sparrow is over 11 and does not have epilepsy.

Edit: He is now placed in a loving home!!

Due to no fault of his own, this sweet boy, Kraken, is available.

He is more a med-high drive boy. He is a "thinker" so tends to be reserved and thoughtfull instead of reckless. He is very people devoted and LOVES to cuddle. A very sweet boy. He loves water so dock diving is going to be an interest of his I bet. He is very biddable, and more soft than his mother (thats a good thing). Hes going to do great at any sport as he is going to love doing anything with his partner. He also really seems to love kids and gets along great with my cat. He has been socialized and I can provide lots of videos of his outings.

Tortuga Border collies would probably like to announce our keeper puppy from the Mythical sea creatures litter! Selkie, aka Flying Dutchman ( The name is not set in stone). I have high hopes for this big boy! He and I have bonded since the beginning just like his mother and I did. He also has a large resemblance of his grandfather. Expect to see great things from this beautiful boy!

Pirate Syreen formally Siren gets to go home to her partner soon. She is remaining in Kansas. She will get to work stock, play agility, do obedience and Rally, and many other fun things! Her new partner is Ms Joleen Pearman!

We are also excited to announce Syreen will stay part of Tortuga BorderCollies as a co-own, so keep watch on this girl if she turns out amazing like we know she will!

Little Naiad aka Xtra as she will now be known, will be heading to north eastern Kansas to start her life as a future NADAC agility girl! She will also get to see stock, do toss and fetch league and possibly explore dock diving. Dave and Sonja Castle will be a wonderful home for this spunky fiery little wildchild!! I can say without a shadow of a doubt, this little girl is the most like her mother out of the puppies! Which means she will be awesome!!
