Sorry I have not gotten photos of the new yorkie puppies yet
My daughter Melanie has a broken neck where the spine connects to the skull. Her spinal cord is compressed. She lost use of her hands and has numbness in her chest. She is immobilized with a brace and on steroids to reduce swelling. The surgeon is working on a complicated and riskie plan to re attach her skull She is terrified as we all are. She messaged me this note tonight.

You are the one who would make decisions on my behalf. There is the possibility that I become completely paralyzed from the neck down. If that were to affect my breathing and make it so that I would have to have machines breathing for me, I don’t want to live like that and please always take care of and love Hanna and Dacotah for me. But, If there is a chance of breathing on my own again then I want to keep fighting to recover. But please let’s all remain positive. I have a great surgeon and I have a strong will to beat the odds. I love you
