They have been vet checked, dewormed and have their first and second set of shots. They were 12weeks as of December 4th.

Nearly one in five households in Ontario struggle to put food on the table. According to the study prepared by a University of Toronto team, 18.7 percent of all families in Ontario do not have enough food to eat. This is up from 16.1 per cent of food insecure households in the province in 2021.

Since first opening it’s doors in 1986, Gleaners food bank has played a ginormous role in helping those in the community get the necessities they need at a time when they need them the most.

We want to help by collecting donations from our community for Gleaners Food Bank.

This week (Dec 11-17) when you bring in a non perishable item or items, you will receive 10% off your purchase.

Myth: Shaving Your Dog’s Fur in the Summer Cools Them Down ❌

Though humans wear fewer clothes in hot weather, dogs don’t benefit from a reduction in their amount of fur; in fact, for most breeds, shaving down a coat has the opposite effect. The double coat on breeds like the Golden Retriever or Siberian Husky actually keeps the dog cool in hot temperatures, and shaving it down can lead to overheating. And if you shave your dog too close to the skin, it puts them at risk for insect bites, sunburn, and skin cancer.✅

Myth: Human Food is Safe for Dogs ❌

If you can eat something, surely your dog can too, right? Wrong! Lots of foods are perfectly fine in small quantities, but there are other foods that are dangerous for dogs. Some, like almonds, are a choking hazard, some, like macadamia nuts, are poisonous, and even a small amount of chocolate or grapes/raisins can kill. Before sharing any food, be sure you know which foods are safe and unsafe for your dog.✅

🐾 Our groomers here at Besties work so very hard to ensure your pet has the best experience while under our roof.
From the time they walk in whether they be extremely nervous or so hyper they can not sit still, the groomers take the time needed for each dog to make them look their best. Sometimes it is not easy but no matter what, Our number one rule is that comfort comes before vanity 💯

🐾 Groomers (specially ours) prove time and time again how rewarding it is to see clients happy about how their fur baby not only looks but feels when they come out of their appointment. The smile that comes across pet parents/guardians faces at pick up is worth more than anything because that smile means that you are happy and when you are happy, we are over the moon.

MYTH BUSTING MONDAY !

Little late.. but better then nothing lol.

MYTH : geese are mean ! 🚫

fact : geese are quite snuggly, sweet, loving, and funny. Most people when thinking of geese they think of the miserable Canadian cobra chickens. But pet geese indeed are far more friendly and cuddly. Darci our bather loves ger geese and they show so much love back. They can be fiercely protective though !

Ain't noone need a rottie when you got geese at home !
