Seven is looking for a home to call his own.
He was surrendered to the local PD when his owners could no longer care for him. He has been living in boarding for several months and is now fully vetted and ready to find his forever home.
Seven is an extremely sweet dog who seeks love and attention. He would be happy to be snuggled all day. He’s VERY excited for visitors and for any attention he is offered. I have no doubt his dreams are filled with comfy couches and warm beds surrounded by kind humans.
Seven is potty trained and is, in fact, a very clean dog. He’s not at all destructive. He appears to be friendly towards other dogs and ignores the boarding facilities cats. Further cat testing can be done on request.
Seven is very food motivated, but I do have concerns he may need some work if eating around other pets; so take this slow and monitor.
Seven was known for running around town before he was surrendered. His previous owners didn’t have a fence, so a fence would make life easier (and safer) for this sweet boy; as he will roam if given the chance.

Now that Seven has been to the vet and recovered from his neuter, we really want to find him a home and a family of his own. He is so deserving and it’s really sad that he’s not getting the attention he so desires. Could that be with you?

This sweet golden princess was adopted from HPPAW 2+ years ago as a baby. Since that time her home added a baby human and report that Dahlia has become depressed as a result. We suggested some other options instead of rehoming but they were not interested.

Dahlia is reported as being a rather easy girl. She’s house trained and crate trained. Her owners state that when they leave she stays in “her bed. It’s not enclosed. She gets Dog TV on and a blanket and watches out the window. She is reported to do great with kids, dogs and cats.

The issue here isn’t at all Dahlia. Her parents are no longer able to meet her minimal needs for attention. They stated they used to walk with her and play with her but are no longer able to do that. They report she has done well at dog daycare but seems very depressed when she arrives home. In addition we were told that the wife is allergic specifically to Dahlia. She does fine with the other dogs in the house which is why they are only rehoming Dahlia.

I’m not going to waste my time explaining my feelings on the situation as it wouldn’t be helpful to finding this amazing girl a proper forever home. I ask you to please do the same. Let’s all focus on this sweet girl, who did NOTHING WRONG, yet still finds herself loosing the only family she’s ever known. She is a doll and deserves a truly FANTASTIC home!

We get SO many dogs in rescue or returned to rescue b/c ppl have a baby. It seems a solid majority of ppl don’t even think to prepare their pets for the incoming chaos and life altering changes soon to impact their lives. WHY ARE OB/GYN’s NOT ADDRESSING THIS WITH EVEN A PAMPHLET?!? It seems it would be easy to mitigate some of the issue with even giving ppl a print out so they at least think about it.

We took Cletus to the vet as he had developed bronchitis and his foster couldn’t get him over it despite all the normal remedies. We did X-rays because we were concerned he had pneumonia.

Unfortunately at the same time it was discovered via the X-rays that he has the 𝐛𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐦𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐩𝐡𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐬. 𝐇𝐢𝐬 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐚𝐥𝐬𝐨 𝐚𝐧 𝐚𝐛𝐧𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐗-𝐫𝐚𝐲𝐬. This means we need to keep a close eye on his heart health. Very rarely is Sybil made speechless or shocked medically, she’s pretty much seen it all, but this was an unwelcome surprise. This is so upsetting and will be expensive to properly diagnose and address going forward.

We tested his thyroid to see if that was the issue as it’s can potentially cause it. We were hopeful as before his diet he was, well, portly, unfortunately it isn’t his thyroid and he is just a fattypants. So now it’s back to the drawing board. We are trying to figure out what is causing it in order to slow down the progression. We are afraid it’s caused by an autoimmune issue, if that is the case slowing it down will be hard and borderline impossible.😟

He currently eats via a raised feeder, we are measuring to get a higher one. We have started to soak his food so it’s softer which also helps but he hates it. It appears that since being in rescue he’s become quite the prima donna with a very persnickety palate. We have to add wet food to make him eat it which is another expense.

Phin was abandoned in March tied to a swingset at a farm in the Gurley area. Farm owner came home and SURPRISE!!
They thought they could find a home for him but have been unsuccessful. He is now in boarding/shelter and he HATES it. The situation is NOT at all what a dog like Phin needs. He’s going a bit crazy and it’s causing problems so he needs a home to fit his needs NOW! This is in no way about Phin being bad, this is about Phin needing a home that can give him what he was bred for. Confinement is not it.
Phin is a sweet sweet dog. He seems to love people and dogs and cats. He does well in a crate. He potties only outside in the kennel but he has access 24/7.
He’s well mannered and gentle and does listen well. He is neutered and will be updated on his shots next week (and we can better assess age at that time).

Phin needs a home ASAP. This is not, for his well being, something that we can wait on.

We have tried to post a cute video of Cletus and the food delivery but for whatever reason Facebook won’t post it. We will keep trying. In the mean time we want to say 🫶THANK YOU SO MUCH🫶 for the 8 bags of dog food we received! Cletus was SO EXCITED that he started to open a box during our photo shoot! We have been able to distribute bags of food to some of the local foster dogs and we are so grateful!

‼️‼️ DESPERATE PLEA ‼️‼️

Meet Miss Kitty. Aka “Kitty Cat”. Kitty is a Cane Corso. She is a large dog, at approx 130 pounds!! This breed is known for their protectiveness and their propensity to bond to one person/owner.
Kitty was abandoned in boarding after she got loose and had a fatal altercation with a small dog. The owner, whom she was clearly bonded with, never got back into contact, quit his job, disconnected his phone, and left town. 😢 To say she is sad, confused, and doesn’t understand why she’s living in boarding is an understatement.
Unfortunately, we don’t know much else about her. We know she’s not okay with small animals (cats included) but her owner eluded to the fact that she wasn’t good with large dogs (she has exhibited friendly behavior through the fence to larger dogs), children nor anyone else but him 😬.
We have no idea of her age or what vetting she has had.
We know this situation is not good, and we know the likely outcome. But we also know none of this is her fault and we have to put out one hail mary of a plea for anyone, ANYONE, who is breed experienced and willing to take a shot on this beautiful girl.
We will take her and have her vetted if someone qualified steps up to save her life.

Kitty growled at the kennel owner the first few days, but has since been extremely sweet and submissive. She is not destructive, takes treats with a gentle touch, and is now very quiet and polite.
We want nothing more than to give her a shot, to find that much needed lifeline.
If you feel you qualify, PLEASE reach out. But reach out NOW. There is NO time to waste.

We are also happy and willing to transfer to any breed experienced rescues with space. Please reach out.

❤️❤️ HAPPY ADOPTION MEGAN ❤️❤️

Rescue is a struggle these days, and while Megan had the best fosters ever,
we struggled finding her a home. Rescued back in January after being dumped, no one showed interest in her. And then someone finally did. And to say that someone was the most perfect someone(s) for this amazing girl is an understatement.
“All in good time”. It’s easy to get frustrated and think it will never happen, but when it’s right it’s right. And sometimes that takes 9 months and you want to give up, but then amazing fosters and perfect adopters come along and give you hope again to rescue another day.

Happy Life Megan. Now WILLOW!
We know you know how lucky you are (rescue dogs just do).
We know that you are loved and you will live your life like the blessed dog that you are!

After being dumped in the middle of nowhere, where she spent a week on her own before rescue, Megan has now been in rescue for 8 months. 8 months with ZERO inquiries. To say we are shocked is an understatement. But Megan has been lucky in that she has had the BEST fosters around. She has ONLY had several because we are trying to get exposure for her to new people as all her fosters agree she deserves the absolute best home around.
She is great with dogs and cats and people. She’s highly intelligent and crates beautifully. She’s potty trained and picks up on directions quickly. Her current foster says, “It blows my mind she hasn’t been adopted yet. She’s about as perfect as they come!”
Adoptions are down everywhere it seems, 2 years ago we would have had 12 applications within the first week. Things are tough all around but we aren’t quitters. And we will NOT quit on Megan. This dog deserves to rest her head on her forever pillow in her forever home with her forever family. Please share to help make this happen for her.
