The journey starts again
These two girls (Tagaloa /Call me Sachi and Star Turn/Goldfinch )home from the breakers for a break before starting their careers as successful racehorses 🤞🙏
Brohm Lake (Pepper) thrived on the heavy track at Kembla, responding impressively to the blinkers worn for the first time. The addition of blinkers sharpened her focus, particularly given her laid-back nature. Dominating the field over 1400m, she kicked away impressively from the competition, finishing by 2.3L in her Maiden race yesterday partnering up with Deanne Panya.
Big thanks to her riders Beany, Mary Anne and Courtney along with Stablehand Mel! Their collective effort and affection for Pepper undoubtedly played a crucial role - What a fantastic way to wrap up the year!
Penitents wins her maiden over 1000m
It was a great team effort with many contributions from various individuals, including Ben Graham from Bligh Veterinary Services Centre, Jason the Farrier, stablehand Mel Cain, riders Beany Panya and Deanne Panya, all working diligently to get her in sound racing condition. She was primed for her win at Kembla on Melbourne Cup Day, finally breaking her Maiden after a long time of preparation and fine-tuning for the day. Special thanks go to her owners and connections for their unwavering support and commendable patience.
A gallant and determined performance from Penitent and her jockey (Deanne). 👏 Thank you to all involved.
