I’m not sure what this is all about, but just giving out a “heads up” to dogs owners in the area.
Could be a prank??? Could be a potential marking for dog theft??? Who knows???
One of my doggy mums, ( who owns a Labrador), found this outside the front of her house yesterday on Coniscliffe Road.
Made of concrete, painted brown, white sticky label on the underside on which is written Labrador.
The dog warden has been informed.

THROWN OUT AT CHRISTMAS 💔

Not sure where to even start with this one. So, cut a long story short, we saw a post with a write up stating that a dog who had just been imported from Poland was being thrown out of the home he was promised as he has had a wee on the floor!!! Yep, that’s right. That alone is far from an acceptable reason to give up you’re newly adopted dog.

This poor dog was sent all the way over here WITHOUT rescue back up! No one over here to have his back if/when he needed it. Oh and NO HOMECHECK! The couple themselves were polish.. this doesn’t mean they are good home for a dog just because the dog is from Poland too! - they also stated “MAYBE IF WE SAY HE HAS BITTEN ME WE CAN PUT HIM TO SLEEP!” How lovely of them.

We went to the house to collect him today, he wasn’t far from us so we just couldn’t leave him there. When I got there he automatically tried darting out the door to escape…he was kicked back out of the way then shuttled underneath the table onto his belly. Down I went to his level and said..”cmon, let’s get out of here” after some slightly intimidating behaviour from the people, myself and this lad were out of there.

He is skinny, not been fed properly, scared, head shy & jumping at everything. To be totally honest we are beyond sick of these dogs over here without the “rescue” who sends them having their back! It’s not fair! It’s not right! & it’s totally irresponsible. Yet again we are picking up the pieces for a dog who we didn’t send over to the U.K., we didn’t put him in this home, (which is unsuitable for ANY dog/animal) please be careful who you are adopting from if they are abroad then make sure there is a proper BACK UP system in place with a reputable U.K. rescue.

Don’t worry, we’ve got him now. Never again will he not be wanted or thrown out.

The puppy farmers & back yard breeders will be busy busy busy getting their “stock” ready for Christmas…….

No legitimate breeder will advertise or sell their puppies as Christmas presents.

If you must have that Christmas puppy PLEASE do your RESEARCH on where your puppy is coming from, keep all info including screenshots of sale ad, Google the photos & phone numbers used by the seller, pay attention & Google the premises where the seller lives (it could be an Airbnb or holiday home rental) and NEVER EVER meet the seller in a car park - you must see mum interact with her pups in their home environment……..

My name is Fiona and I work on the horse slaughter campaign. People often ask what it's like to watch the footage, so I've written about it.
But the truth is, it's only bearable if we can do something about it. This petition will secure a debate in Parliament to expose the real reason so many horses are slaughtered: rampant and unregulated breeding.

If you haven’t seen your new puppies mum, if you didn’t ask or if they didn’t show you, it most likely because she looks like this. This poor baby is hardly 1, she’s had a couple of litters and been so neglected and deprived of medical attention that she’ll need a 6 month recovery. But don’t worry, the owners made a ton of money off her, that’s all that matters

*****APPEAL FOR INFORMATION*****
On Monday 6th September, 15 sick puppies were dumped in a dirty crate on a road in Pitsea, Essex with no food or water on a hot day. Thankfully a kind member of the public heard them whimpering and immediately took them to a local vet.

Sadly, one puppy had already died and three puppies were so poorly the vet had to put them to sleep 😭 The remaining 11 puppies are still very poorly but are currently in our care being carefully monitored. Read more: https://bit.ly/3jZiUHF

This is Sprout.
Sprout was a young rescued Border Collie puppy with a rescue back up registered on his microchip.
Sprout was euthanised at just 4 months of age.
Had Sprout been scanned prior to euthanasia this would have alerted the veterinarian that he was under a rescue organisations protection. No call came.

A complaint was made to the vet practice regarding his death.

*The response from the veterinarian practice was that whilst they were sympathetic to the upset that this has caused they were unable to discuss the details due to GDPR*

This demonstrates once again that whilst there was no accountability for the non scanning of microchips prior to ending the lives of healthy animals, another rescued dog lost its life unnecessarily and without consequence and the rescue who were his safety net were not given any information or able to get his remains back.

We have addressed the issue of scanning prior to euthanasia and the rcvs have amended their professional code of conduct to include the scanning of healthy dogs prior to euthanasia for rescue back up and to match keeper with presenter.

However our NEW petition addresses the current ridiculous situation involving gdpr and the lack of information given to registered keepers on microchips as well as the ease that keeper details on microchips can be changed or removed, including RBU, and the fact that crematoriums do not keep any records whatsoever of the animals they cremate in groups.

Sprout is the youngest member of Tuks Law campaign.

We ask that everyone who reads this, signs the petition in his memory. It is not acceptable that things continue as they are and we will continue fighting for voiceless animals as well as the rescue organisations to get these things changed for the better to protect and save lives. But we need help to do it- please please sign and share.

No one tells you how quickly dogs age. How one day you wake up and suddenly their face is all white, how their eyes start to seem more milky than before, how you have to call their name a few more times than you used to.

People tell you not to blink when you have children, but what about the dog who was with you before your children were even thought of? The dog who was by your side before you found the love of your life, the dog who jumped from apartment to apartment in your early 20’s. No one tell’s you to cherish every moment you have with them…

Cherish the dog. The one who’s been there through every break up and every dumb fight with your best friend. That dog who slept in the bed with you when you were lonely and made you feel safe when you left home. Cherish him, because one day you’ll take him on a walk and he’ll start to get tired before you and you’ll realize just how many years he’s been walking by your side.

A few short hours ago our dear Claude passed over rainbow bridge.We did all we could but the distemper and other infections had reached his brain and he continued to fit.Four weeks ago he was in the disgusting Yulin slaughterhouse. He had all the care we could manage, a comfortable blanket and medication to stop the pain. Our other survivors continue to make steady progress and many have started to eat. Rescue is only ever the beginning. Sometimes our prayers and hard work are just not enough. It’s devastating but we will never give up. We campaign, we rescue, we educate, we rehome, we care. Claude you did not die in vain.
