Rainy Days? 🌧️ No Problem! Use this time to have some fun with your dog and practice some indoor training!

Here are some fun and easy exercises to try:
- Cover the basics! Sit, down, stay
- Work on food refusals
- Practice place
- Play hide&seek!

Fireworks can be scary and overwhelming for dogs, causing anxiety and stress. Here are some safety tips to help keep your dog safe during fireworks displays:

1. Keep them indoors - Provide a quiet, comfortable space for your dog to rest during fireworks
2. Distract with treats and toys - Offer calming treats (CBD is a great option) and engaging toys to divert their attention
3. Block the noise - Play calming music or white noise to help mask the fireworks sounds
4. Exercise before fireworks - Tire them out with a fun activity to reduce anxiety, or go for a good walk!
5. Stay calm - Your calm energy can help reassure your dog.

Remember every dog is different, so observe your dog’s behavior and adjust these tips accordingly. Stay safe, and Happy Canada Day! 🇨🇦 🐶

Hi Everyone! 👋🏼
We’re Alex and Kelsey, the proud owners and trainers of Connected K9 Niagara. As passionate dog lovers and experienced trainers, we’re dedicated to helping you build a stronger, better relationship with your dog. While we have been working together with our own dogs for years, our official training journey together began last summer, when we started offering classes through Al’s Country Mutts! We’re thrilled to have helped many dogs of all ages learn the foundations of balanced training! As we grow, we thought it was time to branch out and grow even bigger into the training community!

Our classes are designed to be fun, engaging, and effective, while giving owners the proper skills and knowledge to better their dog. Our balanced training approach focuses on positive reinforcement, clear communication, and fun exercises to help your dog become a well-behaved and loyal companion 🐾
