Unfortunately, shipping will be delayed today and everything will go out tomorrow. In spite of waking up to a giant leak in my office and Chris having to go climb on the roof, we were semi on track but now we lost power and with that the ability to print shipping labels, etc.. So today is a wash out. We apologize for the inconvenience but Mother Nature just put a big red X through our day!

Since we can not ship on Wednesday (it is Juneteenth, a federal Holiday, and thus the Post Office will be closed), we will be skipping "Savings Tuesday" this week since there is no way we could get all of the orders out by the end of the week. Hi Folks,

Regarding shipping. We realize that many of you are new customers and may not be accustomed to our shipping process. It is listed in the "How to" section of our website as well, but just in case, here it is again:

We ship Monday through Thursday We do not ship Friday or Saturday so we can assure that the Roaches do not have "additional lay over" before delivery since the Post office does not deliver on Sunday, plus Friday is generally the day we do whatever needs to be done in the barns that we didn't have time for throughout the week.

Below is a table that shows you when your order will be shipped depending on what day you place your order.

We ship Monday through Thursday.

If you order MONDAY, your order will ship on TUESDAY.
If you order TUESDAY, your order will ship on WEDNESDAY.
If you order WEDNESDAY, your order will ship on THURSDAY.
If you order THURSDAY, FRIDAY, or SATURDAY, your order will always ship on MONDAY (unless you purchase a breeder kit, which will be shipped out on or before the following Thursday. We need extra time since s*xing roaches is time consuming.)
If you order SUNDAY or MONDAY, your order will ship on TUESDAY.

Occasionally, it may take an extra day throughout the week, depending on how many orders we have coming in. There is only so much time we have to select roaches and get to the post office in a day. We promise we will always get them to you as fast as possible.

In regards to anything that is delayed via transit, please be aware that once we drop off the Roaches at the Post office, we are no longer in control of their whereabouts and only have access to the exact same information that you do via your tracking number. If something is way delayed, we do speak to our Postmaster (whom we've come to know and who is a stellar human being who gets just as upset as we do when there are delays). He tries to track down things for us whenever possible, but generally, that doesn't happen unless the delay is 5 days or longer.

If, upon arrival, your roaches are damaged in transit (I promise this happens super rarely for us!), we will make sure that you walk away happy from doing business with us. That has and always will remain our #1 priority. If something is wrong with your order, please take a quick video and send it over to us so we can assess what may have transpired and try to ensure that it doesn't happen again.

Hints and Tips:
Please feed and water your roaches upon arrival. While we do so before they leave here, in this summer heat, this is still a trying time for their little tiny insect bodies and they are bound to be thirsty and hungry. Make friends with your postal carrier or at the very least, try to get to know their name if possible. Trust us, communication goes a very long way in this process sometimes :)

As some of you know, Chris and I decided to give Homesteading a try in 2021. We're finally in a good spot where we want to live as organic as possible. In order to feed our Livestock (because on our Homestead every Turkey, Chicken, etc. must contribute and have a purpose) we're going all in and opened https://www.onourownhomestead.com/ (It's still in its infancy, but its up and running and everything works!) Since I am also a schooled Herbalist, the most logical choice for us is to offer Natural Herbal products that we make here along with Tinctures, etc. we decided to crosslink our Businesses so you'll find a Luna Roaches link on our Homestead site and vice versa. Even if you're not in the market for anything herbal, come check out what we've been up to, especially this year since we've became Turkey wranglers, beekeepers and whatnot.

Hi everyone!

Just a heads up, since it's about to be really crappy weather outside, we decided to ship out all of the subscriptions today instead of tomorrow since working outside on our Homestead is null and void today with the impending rain! We'll be re-opening to Store tomorrow at 10am to resume normal operations :)

Hi Everyone,

As many of you know, Chris and I not only own Luna Roaches, but we are also avid Homesteaders in our spare time. With Spring in full swing here in Florida we are waaay behind planting all of our Food Forrest and getting the rest of the crops into the ground, and we'll need to take a few days off to catch up with all of the work. Since we're also raising 15 new Chicks and 5 baby Turkeys, we still have to put the infrastructure in place for those to be able to move outside, and on top of that, we're also getting to get our bees delivered for our very first bee hive ever. (Growing lots of food requires lots of Pollinators LOL.) The ultimate goal for us is to grow all of our roach food ourselves as well as grow enough food for ourselves.

With all of the work ahead, we just need a few days to fully focus on getting everything built and into the ground before it is too late in the season (We are also eternally grateful that this is a one-time infrastructure build and that the food forest is permaculture!). So what we are going to do is go on a "mini stay-cation" starting Monday, April 1, 2024 until Friday, April 5, 2024 which should give us enough time to accomplish everything.

- Last day to get orders in: Thursday, March 28th before 8.30 am EDT.
- Store Shutdown begins: Thursday, March 28th after 8.30 am EDT
- Store Shutdown ends: Thursday, April 5th around 10am EDT.
- Existing Subscription Shipping during Vacation Week: Thursday April 5th, 2024
- First day of regular Shipping again (because we only regularly ship Mon-Thur) : Monday April 8th, 2024

We'll leave you with a few pictures of the Chaos that is currently our Homestead LOL (See how nicely you can repurpose empty Zen habitats? They make excellent Livestock brooders ;)
