Just.... NO! We can't even cope with the 25F windchill this morning! LOL

Luckily our Roaches are nice and snug in their heated barns and while it's a little cooler than their normal temps in there right now, they are still in a comfortable 80F.

With the Weather being so cold, we're holding off shipping since there is no way your Tropical Roaches will make it to you alive, as we're having consistent nighttime temps in the mid-30s and below. As the forecast stands right now, the first decent enough weather we get to ship is Friday, January 10th. Sorry, folks. We much prefer Mother Nature get off her cold trip, too, but here we are... she isn't listening to us either!

If you currently have an order outstanding, you can choose one of the following:
1. Wait it out with us.
2. Email us and let us know you would prefer a refund.

We know that this is an inconvenience, and we apologize. We raise our roaches with a lot of love and care, and there is no reason to take a chance and unnecessarily lose insect lives.

The Post Office just informed us that due to President Carter's passing, all post Offices will be closed on Thursday, January 9th, so we will definitely not be shipping that day.

Hi Everyone,

Happy New Year! With the Arctic front forecasted to reach Florida this coming week, we will likely not be able to ship due to the low temperatures and the zero survival rate of our insects when highs don't reach above the mid-50s, and nighttime temperatures are said to be in the 30s. (Why, oh, why does this always have to happen when we come back from vacation!?)

Please be mindful of that when purchasing Discoids from our store. There may be a rather long delay until it is safe to ship them out. Please be mindful of that prior to ordering.

Just a heads up, as every year Chris and I are taking some time off to spend with the Family, getting some stuff done on our Homestead and just enjoying the Holiday Season with some downtime!

The last day of Regular Shipping is this week, Thursday, 12/19/2024, so be sure to get your orders in by 8 a.m. Thursday morning. Otherwise, you won't be able to order with us.

Existing Subscriptions will go out on 12/26/2024, right after Christmas.
Regular Shipping and normal operations resume on Thursday, January 2, 2025

Hi Everyone!

We're caught up, everyone's orders have shipped (other than what came in today, that'll go out tomorrow) and we're back to Savings Tuesday tomorrow as well!

We want to take a moment and say thank you! Through all of this weather and shipping mess, with aaaaaaall of the orders that were on hold (and trust me when I say that was probably the most we ever did in that time period!) not a single one of you requested a refund, but instead we got loads of messages of support and lots of faith in us as Small Business owners. We appreciate this more then we could ever express!

Safe travels Little Guys & Gals!

We are shipping about 1/3 of orders out today. Yesterday I went through everyone's individual Zipcodes, checked the weather and if at all possible based on temperatures for the next 5 days in said areas, decided who was safe to ship to (the rest of you got an email from us yesterday). That ended up being about 1/3 of all of you.

Oh also.... since Amazon sent me a canceled order of Disco Balls twice plus my regular original order, I am now swimming in them and everyone get's one until we run out LOL!

We went and checked the forecast for every single order and have about 1/3 we can ship out tomorrow based on the temperatures in your area and I readied those boxes. That said, it's not optimal temperatures anywhere in Florida (except for maybe one of two areas we're shipping to) but a good chance these will make it without issues IF you retrieve your box promptly upon arrival. Keep in mind your roaches will likely be sluggish from the lower temperatures so please put them in a warm environment and allow them to warm up properly for a few hours. If after 4-5 hours there are still issues, please take a video of your shipment and send it over to us so we can assess.

I am about to email everyone whose box we will not be shipping out tomorrow. If you do not receive an email from us, please look for a tracking number tomorrow and keep a close eye on your package. Our recommendation would be to talk to your postal carrier and give them a heads-up that your package is incoming. Please also realize that this is the week after Black Friday, and USPS will possibly have delays.

Good Lord! Someone turn on the heat in Florida again! We're freezing over here!

We're keeping an eye on the weather and had committed to shipping every order this Thursday as the weather was forecasted better than it is shaping up to be but it's not looking like that's a realistic timeline at this point.

While Thursday night the temps here remain close to 50, it'll nosedive right back down for Friday and Saturday which would mean our Bugs would be traveling right back through 40F and 41F, temperatures they won't be able to survive so we find ourselves again in a pickle with Mother Nature.

We will be mailing everyone who has an order in individually this morning to let you know if we are able to ship your order tomorrow based on whether the nighttime temperatures are above 50F for 3 consecutive days in your zipcode or if we would need to hold your order until Monday. If you opt not to wait, we will be of course be issuing you a refund at that point.

We know this is a huge inconvenience for everyone, and that your buddies are hungry, but there is no point shipping to you if there is no way your bugs would arrive alive. Also as insect lovers, we're not willing to have them die a needless death by cold if we can prevent that by simply waiting a few more days. We will also be putting a hold on our store until we can get all of these out of the door!

We apologize for the inconvenience this is causing for everyone but we still can't change the weather.
