Best Friends Kennels is located in a quiet rural setting just outside Kildorrey village. We have been caring for dogs just over 20 .Our clients come from both local and cork city areas. Our staff are qualified in animal care and operate to a very high standard. Not only are they trained in dog handling safety and hygiene but they also have to have a genuine love of dogs. The dogs have their own in

dividual spacious heated kennels with access to a large inclosed run. Dogs are walked daily and allowed supervised playtime with other dogs plus plenty time outside. Each dog is welcomed with a toy and bone and taken for a walk straight away to help them settle in. It might be a good idea to send your dog in for a trial period if you were worried about how they would settle. We offer a texting or email service while you are away so you can check to see how your dog is doing. We cater to each individual dogs needs. Dogs with special dietary or medical needs are catered for. If your dog needs extra attention or care just let us know and we will do our best to accomodate you. We also supply an anytime qualified grooming service. Have your dog washed and buffed before home time or give her a complete make over with a clip or cut. It is highly advised that your dog has an up to date vaccination and kennel cough record. BEST FRIENDS AT A GLANCE:

This little guy is looking for a home. He is about7/8 months old and is a real cutie. He is great with kids , people , very good off lead, plays away with other dogs. Scared of cats . He needs help with toilet training though he’s getting there, as he had a bad start in life, but will be a great companion for someone special. He is so full of love and fun. He will be neutered , vaccinated , chipped etc so adoption fee applies.

Homes wanted for these two 8 month old collie girls. They can go separately or together. They are quite small for the breed. The girls are so friendly and really gentle. They are not used to being inside but are super responsive to training so that shouldn’t take long. They will be neutered vaccinated and chipped so adoption fee and Homecheck applies.

PERMANENT FOSTER HOME NEEDED FOR PEANUT AND WOODY
We affectionately call this pair “The Old Men” and they are firm favourites with our Shelter Volunteers. Peanut and Woody are older Jack Russell Terrier who recently came into our care together. They are both estimated to be around 10 years old and we would like them to find a retirement home together for their twilight years. Peanut is a slow walker owing to arthritis in his front legs and is quite happy to just amble around and is not able to walk for any long distance. He has just received some medical treatment to correct a prostate issue and have teeth removed. Woody, on the other hand, is quite happy to head off for walks and doesn’t seem to have any health issues. But as they seem so content together, we think they will be happier to remain together so a foster home rather than an adopted home will suffice. They will both remain for their lifetimes under the financial care of the KWWSPCA for all their future medical needs.

Both dogs are very friendly and quiet and are content to laze around for most of their days. They don’t mind being handled and don’t show signs of aggression. They really are a lovable pair that just need a comfortable and safe home.

Peanut and Woody are microchipped (972274001596812 and 972274001596813), neutered, vaccinated and have been treated with the usual preventative flea/worm treatments.
