* DOG COATS & JUMPERS APPEAL *

The amazing Birkett~Smith Animal Sanctuary are one of the the very few UK sanctuaries that will take in both human aggressive and fear aggressive dogs. They rehabilitate these beautiful dogs, as much as they can, over time to enable them to enjoy their forever home at the sanctuary or very occassionally to go back out into the world to specialist homes.

They are currently appealing for dog coats and jumpers to keep their pups warm during the cold months. I’m going to start a collection next week so if your dog has any coats or jumpers they no longer use, please leave them out for me next week and I’ll post them to the sanctuary next Friday (24th).

If you don’t have any to donate but would like to help, please consider sending something via their amazon wishlist - I’m sure all the doggos would be so grateful.

We are still appealing for dog coats….do you have one that your dog no longer needs? 🐾
It gets very cold up on our hill in Dorset and we have lots and lots of dogs of all shapes and sizes to keep warm in winter 🥶 So we are in need of coats 🙏 Our sanctuary dogs like to play out all year so coats are a must have accessory and we also have a lot of shredders, so a continual back-up store is needed! ❄️
The gift of a used coat may not seem much but it is always very much needed and appreciated by us…..any shape, size or colour...new or used...anything and everything will be very gratefully received, jumpers are great too and all can be sent to:

As some of you know, we had to say goodbye to our cat Bailey last Thursday. It’s been just over a week and it’s still very raw but being out in the countryside, walking the dogs has helped beyond words. I’ve spent the last couple of evenings looking through old photos and videos from the past 13 years and it’s helped me realise how lucky I am to have had him in my life and what wonderful memories I have which I’ll cherish for the rest of my life. He was the most affectionate, chatty, cheeky & charismatic cat. He loved every dog that came into our home, came on holidays with us & gave the best cuddles. So here is my little tribute to the bestest boy; my constant, my family, my home ❤️
