We are excited to announce the upcoming litter from two of CPI's outstanding dogs, York and Helga! These puppies are expected any day now, with pedigrees that include generations of top-performing border protection dogs, family protection dogs, and police dogs.

Helga, an 85-pound personal protection dog, is known for her affectionate, loyal, and loving temperament. She was welcomed into CPI in January 2022. Shortly after, her owner brought home York—a striking all-black male, weighing over 100 pounds, who is known for his calm, confident demeanor. Together, they exemplify the perfect balance of drive, beauty, and environmental adaptability.

Both York and Helga's bloodlines boast a long history of service in border patrol, police work, and family protection. These dogs have proven themselves time and time again in both home and high-stress environments, including living with five children (ages 5 to 16) and eight small dogs.

Amir is currently in our Elite Family & and Estate Protection Dog program at our facility in Dallas, Texas. He will be ready for delivery to your home in December. Demand his very high, and normally our dogs sell while at our European training facility, but we were able to import Amir and Walter before they were sold. Kamp is sold! Once he completes training her in Dallas, he will be headed to a wonderful family in Los Angelas California where he will be living with 3 children and a Sheepadoodle. Unfortunately they recently had a home invasion, they will sleep great with Kamp by their side.

Drago is available!

Meet Drago - a two year old German Shepard with incredible protection abilities and a wonderful temperament to match. Drago comes from a family of elite quality protection dogs, a few of which CPI has had the privilege of training. Drago fits that description as well as any with his eagerness to work, ability to remain calm in any environment, and naturally friendly disposition to children, other dogs and people.

The "On Switch": Although Drago is naturally a calm, friendly dog, his ability to switch into protection at your command is as sharp as any we've seen. He displays as much power and aggression as you could ask for while maintaining composure to follow your command. His adaptability makes him a great fit for nearly all lifestyles.

🚩 Beware of the claim, "The dog will know what to do." This statement poses significant risks. Firstly, it can lead to liability issues; a jogger accidentally bumping into you or an enthusiastic friend greeting you could be mistakenly perceived as threats, leading to unintended bites. Secondly, a well-trained protection dog should respond to your commands at any time, regardless of whether the person appears aggressive. Remember, not all threats act aggressively. While it's great for dogs to be naturally territorial and wary of shady characters, they should only show aggression and bite on command. 🚩Titled Sport dogs: While titles can show performance, the training will not be functional in everyday life. Extensive training is necessary to make the training functional, and not all sport dogs excel in personal protection. Both protection and obedience need to be functional in a multitude of scenarios, not just a training field or training room. Be cautious of sport dogs being presented as protection dogs. For the past 30 years, we have dedicated ourselves to perfecting the art of creating the ideal family protection dog. Our clients have come to expect and cherish the perfect blend of genuine functionality, obedience, and protection in their dogs. Our new "Protective Escape" exercise which is now a part of our Executive Protection Program.

The Covert Protection Dog

There may be a time when you feel threatened but haven't actually been threatened . . . yet. Turning your dog on may escalate the situation. You need a covert way to instruct your dog to "turn on" (show aggression) and appear that you haven't done anything. This is where our covert "Knock it Off" command comes in. Your reprimand "knock it off" is the command to "turn on" yet you appear to be trying to control your overly protective dog.

We have two dog training centers, Canine Protection International (CPI) and Naked Dog Training. Both dog training centers are devoted to functional results at the highest level possible. The highest level possible for most people is in their everyday life, when they need their dog to perform instantly, as directed. Providing that level of performance is who we are. It's what we do.
