As usual my weekend was very busy
After a long journey to cork we had a rough night in the camper but slept like a baby literally rocked to sleep by the wind 😅

Sunday I attended a fabulous and very informing seminar by Tom Isherwood of the famous Afterglow kennels on the Poodle show trim ‘Puppy pants’

After a super lunch provided by amazing hosts I observed during the hands on workshop as I had no dog with me. I learned a lot on balancing the individual dog and will apply to my own girls next time the get a groom

Although the weekend was based on show grooms the art of balancing a dog applied to my everyday work to ensure I complete balanced grooms on every dog

I have many more seminars booked this year as there’s always more to learn 🥰

Next up is crufts where I shall learn much more from the various demos and talking with suppliers about new tools to make grooming easier for me and the dogs 😍

How cute is mini poodle puppy Pebbles 😍

She had a super puppy intro using innocent shampoo and grooming spray and gained some super confidence in the grooming process

Looking forward to seeing her grow up into a beautiful poodle in Teddy style 🥰

I got the sad news today that poor Sally has gained her wings and passed over the rainbow bridge to join her sister Millie 💔

I’ve had the pleasure of grooming Sally since I first opened in 2019

She was the best girl who loved to curl up on the armchair in the shop while waiting her turn for her bath and groom and did the same here when I moved to working from home 🥹

Her favourite part of the groom being the back scratches during the bath 🥰 I will miss that happy dance she did every time 🥹

What a day!

Another early start and Kya first in for Purebreed workshop open. Delighted with how well she behaved on the table for the whole class and already looking forward to the next comp with her ❤️

Next up after a 2 minute lunch was Kali in Poodle Champion and she was as always the best girl 🥰 and of course I forgot to get an after pic but officially photos coming soon 😅

I got some super feedback from all 3 judges and to end the day even better I placed 1st in Workshop and 2nd in Poodle!

No rocking to sleep needed tonight that’s for sure 😅😂

After a stressful week with no electric under Wednesday evening it was an early start at 7am to get Kali and Kya prepped and head to Lisburn 😅 no weekends off here 🙈

Now settled in and ready for Groomers Got Talent tomorrow 💪 bright eyed and bushy tailed ready in the ring at 8:30am 🥰

I’m a bit mad doing both especially as it’s Kyas first grooming competition but we will have fun and no doubt get some super advice on improving my groom from some amazing specialists ready for the show season ahead 🥰

Well we are still without power. It was due back this evening but no luck so far.

Once it’s back I will reschedule any of those affected and get everyone else on my lists booked in asap

I’m away competing at Groomers Got Talent this weekend so please bare with me on getting all appointments sorted

I’m currently running a raffle in aid of Mayo SPCA to help fund the amazing work they do

1st prize is a fabulous hamper worth over €85!
Includes
-a metre piece of thick vet bed from Junes Vet bedding which is perfect for the crates or car
-Atlas and Tail goat skin treats and duck pate
-Slicker brush
-Mini bottle of Leucillin antiseptic spray
-The Pawdinary Mother fluffer shampoo, 10in1 grooming spray and Cinnamon musk cologne (all products I use every day in the salon)

2nd prize is a mini hamper containing
-groom professional shampoo and conditioner
-Atlas and Tail duck pate
-travel container for dog food
-frisbee
-collapsible bowl

Tickets are €5 each or 3 for €12

All proceeds go towards Mayo SPCA

Draw takes place March 17th 2025

And I’m back!

I was quite unwell the second half of last week after only getting back to work 🫠

I did a test run with my dogs yesterday to see how I’m doing and I only managed to bath Kya yesterday as I’m not 100% back to myself so will be doing less dogs this week than planned

I will be in touch with all due a groom in the order they are due and get everyone booked in for their next appointment. Please bare with me as it’s quite a list

The work never stops here 😅
Busy painting away for a fresh start to the new year 🥰

Once it’s all painted and drying I’ll get started on the new year appointments for everyone ☺️ if you have certain dates around holidays please send me a message to ensure you can get those dates 🥰

There will be a slight increase in prices to cover some of the 23% VAT I’m paying as I simply cannot absorb it anymore. There will be €5 per dog increase (only adds up to €32.50 per year for those coming every 8 weeks)
I have been advised to add the full 23% on top of current prices but I know that isn’t affordable for everyone right now so I’m increasing by €5 🥰

Thank you all for your support this year and I hope to see everyone back again in 2025 ❤️

What a crazy busy couple of weeks that was made easy with everyone keeping their timing perfect 🥰

I know I have some messages to get back to and will go through them over the next couple of days

We have a dog show on Friday so no rest for me but we wouldn’t miss the Christmas show 🎅
