Darby Acres Farm is a place that locals and visitors have the opportunity to pet and visit a wide variety of farm animals. COME MEET OUR BABY CAPYBARAS!! You know it’s summer time when the capybaras spend most afternoons lounging in the pool (or their water dish🤣)!!
Did you know capybaras are awesome swimmers and can hold their breath for up to five minutes underwater? Capybaras live a semi aquatic lifestyle and can often be found along the banks of the Amazon River. Come learn more awesome facts about our capybara family here at Darby Safari.

WOULD YOU LIKE TO JOIN THE DARBY SAFARI FAMILY?! Send us your resume today!! We are looking for full time or part time employees to help us for through the spring and summer and hopefully into the fall as well!
What we are looking for: A dependable, organized, and focused self-starter with a positive attitude and excellent time management skills to work independently, multitask, and prioritize to complete daily activities according to work schedule while clearly communicating with a dedicated team to give the best care to our animals and property.
We prefer those over 18 years old and those with some sort of animal experience. We need those who can help run tours and help manage larger groups of people.
If you are looking to play with animals all day, this is not the job for you. This job requires manual labor, and is certainly not for the faint of heart. Many of our days are spent cleaning, cleaning again, and then cleaning some more. You must be able to comfortably lift 50 pounds, work on your feet for long periods of time, and must be able to work independently as well as with a team.

WE STILL HAVE SLOTS OPEN FOR OUR EASTER EVENT ON SATURDAY!! Book yours for you and the family before it’s too late!!
Our fluffy cows, capybaras (and their babies), baby otters, baby goats, baby kangaroo, and more will all be available to see, pet, and give some snacks too! General admission includes our easter eggs hunt, free range of the zoo, and lots of snuggles with our babies here at Darby Safari!! We have three different time slots available for Saturday the 30th here at our Safari! Join us for an awesome easter egg hunt, animal encounters, and lots of photo opportunities! Happy Valentine’s Day from our newest member of Darby Safari!! 🩷❤️
Meet Green Bean, she is such a sweet heart. Just like her mama, she loves people, loves her snacks, and loves to play!!
Did you know kangaroos are about the size of a grape when they were born and way less than an ounce? Come, meet our mob of kangaroos here at Darby Safari!
We still have a few slots left on Saturday, we have also opened an additional tour time for Sunday, and are now offering another tour on Monday as well!!
