Our Story
I began sewing when I was in high school. I thought how hard could it be? I had an old sewing machine that my mom had given me and I would make clothes. I would always start with a pattern but not really knowing how to read one, it would get set aside and I would just wing it. I was often left with some strange fitting clothes to say the least. After high school, I studied design for theatre at San Diego State University and eventually received my BFA in Theatre Arts. Having become much better at sewing, I was able to work around the country for several small theatres and eventually ended up in Los Angeles managing a costume shop. Many moons later I left that job to be a full-time mom. 3 years ago my daughter began her own adventure when she started pre-school full-time; that is when I decided to start my own Etsy adventure.
I had in the past made a number of dog costumes for friends and coworkers and really enjoyed it. Someone suggested I start a shop on Etsy, so I thought why not? I wasn't really sure what I wanted to focus on so I started with an idea that I had which was taking human graphic t-shirts and turning them into fury friend graphic t-shirts. They were so cute and I loved making them, but I quickly realized it was not what people needed for their friends. Since then I have grown my shop selling mostly fleece items and I couldn't be happier. My daughter and I get so excited when customers post pictures of their friends wearing my shirts. It has been so challenging and fun to see my shop grow from a simple idea to what it is today. I have so much more I want to do and given time I know I will get there. I see so many amazing items to buy for your pets on Etsy, so I want to thank you for choosing mine.
