BlackFyre Belgian Tervuren is a small kennel dedicated to breeding quality Tervuren and Laekenois. Puppies are available occasionally to carefully screened and approved homes on contract only. We believe a Belgian Tervuren or Laekenois should be Healthy, Athletic, intelligent, stable in character and represent the breed standard appropriately in type. Breeding stock is OFA Hip and Elbow Tested, Th

yroid Tested and Eye tested as the minimum health screenings. While we love showing our dogs their #1 job is to be our best friends.

COASTER 3rd year running in the Top 10 .

Recognized by breeder judges and all rounders alike , taking on top competition around the US in Breed and groups . Thank you to our fans and support of friends and family.

This year we really only showed Hard from March - May taking most of the summer off, then hit the road for a month in September. A few shows Oct - Early December . To live in the PNW and consistently be in the top rankings is more work than most will ever know.

As we head in to 2024 Coaster will make a few appearances at select shows . The journey continues.

To avoid miserable traffic we left Bellingham at 8:30pm and drove back up free to Vancouver WA to Mom's. Stopped 2x and got set up and dogs ran and fed... Yes it's almost ,2am and yes I'm having a glass of wine because I was driving Mr Daisy who is the WORST back seat driver ever yet didn't want to drive lol...

4 dogs had Christmas baths and I packed the RV and cleaned the house and drove the 4.5 hours down so cheers to me lol.

Christmas Eve is Today and we gather with family. Every One who is still traveling for Christmas have a safe journey and enjoy your Holiday time off.

Stats are out through Nov 30 2023 and Coaster with very limited showing since late May is #2 ALL BREED and #5 BREED.

I'm so proud of this boy. Consistently placing in groups and winning over TOP breed competition all over the country this year. What a FUN RYDE we've been having.

Thea aka Pip just got a fresh bath and she departs for her new home in California today. This special little Character will be missed much by me but is going to a fantastic home.

The Ps have taken over my back deck playing in the rain today. 8 wks old tomorrow.

Pip had an adventure all by herself on this hot afternoon. I will get video of each of the other three exploring a new area of the property as it cools off a bit.

The Ps are 6wks 4 days and little crazy pups lol.

Jitterbug loves to play with her baby brothers and sisters.

Jitterbug is now playing with her baby brothers and sisters. Now they have Coaster and Jitterbug to help entertain them. Lol

Today is a big day for the Ps...they graduated from rickarack to real puppy collars. Luckily I had the ones left from the N litter.

Our Story

BlackFyre Belgian Tervuren is a small kennel dedicated to breeding quality Tervuren and Laekenois. I fell in love with the breed in the mid 80’s and got my first Terv in late 1988. I’ve never looked back and currently share my home with 2 Tervuren full time and one Belgian Laekenois. Puppies are available occasionally to carefully screened and approved homes on contract only. Our dogs have done service dog work, therapy work, working ranch dog work, herding trials, obedience, agility, tracking, scent work and my personal passion, conformation showing. While we love showing and competing with our dogs their #1 job is to be our best friends and an integral part of the family. We believe a Belgian Tervuren or Laekenois should be healthy, athletic, intelligent, stable in character and represent the breed standard appropriately in type. Breeding stock is OFA Hip and Elbow Tested, Thyroid Tested and Eye tested as the minimum health screenings. Laekenois are also heart tested. Along with my own dogs, I enjoy training and handling other dogs for clients as a professional dog show handler.
