Billy look ok but usual problem with food. I tried renal food, all kind of commercial dog’s food, pasta, broth….. nothing. He eat little and usually raw food. He seems a bit sad but I don't know if it's because he isn't eating or because he isn't feeling well

billy feel better but still having problems with food. Eat few croquettes, little pasta. He loves dairy products, and raw offal. I have already bought 3 types of croquettes but he won't eat them. He doesn't eat corned beef. I have to find nutritious and cheap food every day but I can't find it….

Hi everyone! This is page Billy Flop’s page, a presumably 6-7 year old setter suffering from leishmania, anemia, proteinuria and probably other undiagnosed diseases. He is a very strong dog who has a lot of desire to live and I am sure he will get well soon. This page is for all large international community participated in the fundraising, showing their love for Billy and are now worried about his health. I think people who love animals are very sensitive and profound and helping unknowed people like me caring their dog means a love beyond any limit, prejudice or fear. I will try to update you often on Billy's condition and will update the expense report as I make it clear that all your past and future donations are solely for Billy.
History
In February 2024 a Setter found refuge in my countryside, he was almost dying, hungry and thirsty. He had his face on small wall and didn't want to get up, he could only wag his tail. He had several wounds and hairless parts. With love he feel better, after a few weeks he started walking again, he was very affectionate, he wagged his tail between his legs, he made me very tender. Unfortunately, shortly after, on Easter Sunday, I found him feverish and dying under a tree. He didn't get up anymore, he didn't even have the strength to wag his tail. I have never had a dog, I have had no veterinary contact, even though it was Easter I asked around and in the end we sent some photos to a vet who explained the symptoms to me and having seen the photos and videos he recommended the last chance: cortisone and antibiotics for 7 days but preparing myself for the eventuality that he might not survive the first few days. But Billy Flop is a strong dog full of desire to live, he is back on his feet. After a few weeks, however, I realized that he wasn't improving as he should have, the wounds weren't healing and he wasn't gaining weight. I took him to the clinic and was diagnosed with anemia and leishmaniasis. The vet surmised that he had been abandoned due to his illness and that the God of Dogs had brought him to me to give him a chance. This sentence shook me deeply, I would like to help him but the treatments are very expensive and require drugs and continuous checks as many of you unfortunately know. Other "experts" advised me to demolish it but I never succeeded.

Questa pagina è di Billy Flop, un setter presumibilmente di 6-7 anni molto malato che sta lottando contro la leishmania, anemia, proteinuria e probabilmente anche altro non ancora diagnosticato. È un cane molto forte che ha gran voglia di vivere e sono sicuro che presto starà bene. Questa pagina è soprattutto per la grande comunità internazionale che ha partecipato alla raccolta fondi dimostrando di volere bene a Billy e che ora è in apprensione per la sua salute. Penso che le persone che amano gli animali siano molto sensibili e profonde e aiutare uno sconosciuto come me nella cura del suo cane significa un amore oltre ogni limite, pregiudizio o paura. Cercherò di aggiornavi spesso sulle condizioni di Billy e aggiornerò il report delle spese che ho sostenuto perché chiarisco che tutte le vostre donazioni passate e future sono esclusivamente per Billy.
La storia
A Febbraio del 2024 un setter ha trovato riparo nella mia campagna, era quasi in fin di vita, affamato e assetato. Aveva poggiato il muso su un muretto e non si alzava, riusciva solo a scodinzolare. Aveva diverse ferite e parti senza pelo. Con un po’ d’amore si è ripreso, dopo qualche settimana è tornato a camminare, era affettuosissimo, scodinzolando con la coda tra le gambe, mi ha fatto molta tenerezza. Purtroppo, dopo un po’, precisamente la domenica di Pasqua l'ho trovato febbricitante e agonizzante sotto un albero. Non si alzava più, non aveva nemmeno la forza di scodinzolare. Non ho mai avuto un cane, non avevo contatti di veterinari, nonostante fosse Pasqua ho chiesto in giro alla fine siamo riusciti a mandare qualche foto ad un veterinario che spiegato i sintomi e viste le foto e i video mi ha consigliato l'ultima spiaggia: cortisone e antibiotico per 7gg ma preparandomi sull'eventualità che non avrebbe superato i primi giorni. Ma Billy Flop è un cane forte e pieno di voglia di vivere, è tornato in piedi. Dopo qualche settimana, mi sono reso conto però che non migliorava come doveva, le ferite non si rimarginavano e non metteva peso. L'ho portato in clinica e ho il referto di anemia e leishmaniosi. Il veterinario ha ipotizzato che sia stato abbandonato per la sua malattia e che il Dio dei cani l'ha portato da me per dargli una possibilità. Questa frase mi ha scosso profondamente, vorrei aiutarlo ma le cure sono molto costose e richiedono farmaci e controlli continui come molti di voi purtroppo sanno. Altri “esperti” mi hanno consigliato di abbatterlo ma non potrei mai.
