Ive recieved a few messages about wild baby buns today, so I thought Id post up this reminder.

You can contact your local animal control for advice, or try a local wildlife rehabber (see link below). This has been a very challenging baby season, please understand if a rehabber is unable to help you. Sometimes the kindest and only option available is euthanasia.

My heart has joined the Thousand, for my friend stopped running.

Sometimes the animals who join us in life, become something bigger than a simple companion. That one-in-a-million connection that change us forever.

My friend Harrison Ford the Bunny has made his journey across the bridge this week. A local celebrity who touched the hearts of many.

My heart and thoughts are with his family 💕

It takes so many different hands to help save bunnies.

Check out this awesome photo of a ton of volunteers trying to help rescue some stray bunnies. There are just as many people not visable in this photo playing a different role in this rescue inside the wooded area.

Two new cases of RHDV2 found in 2 pet rabbits that died near Montreal, QC. CFIA confirmed RHDV2 by PCR test on July 18 2023.

No direct or indirect links to rabbit breeders or other rabbits in this case. Source of infection is not known. It is suspected the RHDV2 deceased rabbits may have been exposed indirectly via fomites as there was no forage given nor contact with any other rabbits.

Please vaccinate your rabbits!!
You can read more about RHDV & how to keep your rabbits safe, on our website.

I no longer offer paid services, but Im always just a chat away to help where I can!

I have a FREE bonding guide on my website, and you can message at any point along your bonding journey for some advice and support! 💕

Rabbit bonding takes time, dedication and an **ample** amount of patience! If anyone is claiming they can guarantee a bond within a few days, I recommend asking more questions about their process ⚠️. To have a strong bond, it takes time for rabbits to build trust and learn to communicate with one another (just like with people!).

After months of patience and consitancy, Snickers and Olive are well on their way to being fully bonded! They achieved mutual grooming today 🎉

Same s*x (female) pairs are difficult to bond together, but not impossible - as long as YOU are willing to put in the work. That is exactly what Snickers and Olive's people did, and Im SO proud of them for sticking to their bonding plan!

Make sure you leave a BIG congrats in the comments below for Olive and Snickers 💕

You can access my free bonding guide here, and Im always happy to answer questions!

🐇RHDV- Vaccination Clinic 💉

We have been working diligently to secure and obtain the vaccine for the Rabbit Haemorrhage Disease Virus. We are happy to announce that we have the vaccine and are informing clients about our booking and vaccination protocols.

To ensure we provide to high priority areas, we will be offering the vaccine to different groups in stages.
➡️ Clients of Forest Veterinary Clinic and rabbit owners in Sarnia Lambton without veterinary care will be the first vaccination group
➡️ After August 22nd, other veterinary clinics may refer their patients to us for vaccination by referral

🔴Prepayment of the visit/vaccine is required at time of booking to hold your slot
🔴These appointments are not medical/husbandry appointments, they will be a general health check and administration of the vaccine
🔴If your rabbit is ill or you have husbandry questions, a separate appointment will need to be made

We are very excited to be able to offer this to our territory. We know this has been startling over the past couple months and we want to ensure we are doing our best to help prevent this disease from spreading.

If you have any questions please call the clinic and we would be happy to help. We ask for your patience during this time as we all move through this new process together ❤️

Friendly reminder that The Rabbit Lady is CLOSED for all in person/grooming services due to RHVD2 being in Ontario.

This is a highly contagious and fatal virus in rabbits.

Neat & Tidy Buns Grooming has made the decision to remain open at this time, and is available to provide grooming and nail trim services.

It is important to take time and research RHVD2 so you know the risks, and see what works best for you and your bun.

Neat & Tidy Buns Grooming

Hello bun Families!

I hope you all are keeping well!

I have made the personal decision to re open Neat & Tidy Buns Grooming with some cautionary measures - JULY 12 2022

Everyone will have different levels of comfort during this time and that is completely okay and I respect that and hope to have the same respect also.

I am keeping up with any new cases announced- which there has not been any since the 2 in Sarnia back in June.

This was and is not a government mandated shut down - Only a Personal decision.
Each client assumes own risk upon bringing in any bun to be groomed - As I assume personal risk with my own pet bun Pumpkin.

I realize bun parents need basic grooming services that should not require a vet visit.

I want to ensure buns are getting the grooming care they need that I can offer at more of a convenience.

The last thing I want is for any bun to be uncomfortable , end up at the vet, dumped off somewhere, or taken to an unexperienced groomer.

I know grooming rabbits is not everyone's cup of tea- especially depending on each rabbits temperment and personal comfort level . Let alone running out trying to purchase equipment and learning how to do things such as nails.

I was there once. Believe it or not.

My schedule will be altered as follows for the time being so please book as soon as your able to with payment.

I will be operating daily ( Closed Fridays) with 2 appointments per day.

One in the morning 9am-11am
One in the afternoon 1pm- 3pm

All services offered are re open

Payment is due in full prior to your appointment to ensure your space as times are now limited. No acceptions.

I will continue to sanitize my equipment and switch blankets like I already do and I will change my clothing for each client ( Top and Bottom)

Thank you every bun for hanging in there during this time.

Any questions/ concerns - please private messege me

- Construction is still heavy at times on my street and access via the beer store is sometimes necessary . Please keep that in mind for drop off and pick up times.

See you soon!

The Rabbit Lady

The lady behind “The Rabbit Lady” is Kaylie Ngo, a local rabbit enthusiast dedicated to improving the lives of rabbits by providing basic care assistance, training and education to their guardians. Hailing from London, Ontario, Kaylie is well known through the Ontario rabbit community and may best be known for her role within Hoppy Hearts Rabbit Rescue (now closed). Since leaving the rescue, Kaylie wanted to find a way to continue supporting rabbits in her community, and share her wealth of knowledge on the small creatures.

The Rabbit Lady offers the community: nail trims, scent gland cleaning, training on how to do basic grooming and give rabbits medications, as well as consultations with rabbit guardians to assist through the challenges of behavioural issues and bonding.
