Meet Zeus! A sweetheart of a boy who loves everyone he meets! Look out cause he’s a licker! He was found on the streets in Texas and came to us at a meek 56lbs and HW positive which he has been successfully treated for and is now negative. Hooray! After finding out that he is just very bougie and didn’t have any medical reasons to be so skinny, he has since almost doubled his weight and is 101 lbs now. When he takes treats it is oh so gentle. He may not eat them though because like we said he’s bougie, or he thinks it’s poisoned…or it’s a Tuesday and his ear twitched… who knows? The vet thinks he is older, at least 5 so he groans like an old man when he gets up, and prefers to nap or chew on a tennis ball but for sure to always be by your side. He loves kids that want to treat him gently and understand he has some arthritis. Again, the grumpy ol man doesn’t want to be roughhousing around. Zeus is house and crate trained, knows all his commands including place, but does them kind of when he wants. He just doesn’t feel the need to perform and impress anyone. At class he preferred to lay and watch everyone else in between naps! He desperately would like a kitty or 2 to be his BFF. He loves them! He has been in a foster home with other dogs and would prefer to be in a home without other dogs as he is old and set in his ways and would like to have all the balls and attention just for him. He just wants a warm safe home and spot on the couch next to his humans to spend the rest of his days. If you think you are the right home for him I can promise you’ll never be alone and will be sung to every morning. I think he might have some rooster DNA. But you can thrown away that alarm clock because Zeus has you covered! He will make you start your day laughing and smiling. Fostered near Shelby, OH 📍

🚨🚨🚨NOW EXTREMELY URGENT FOR DOGS IN CLEVELAND AREA🚨🚨🚨

🚨🚨🚨UPDATE🚨🚨🚨

We have the following info for the male and female in Cleveland! Both ages can be estimated between 2-4 years.

Female: Very shy, scared girl, but is coming out of her shell. No food aggression present. Ok on leash. Ok but scared in cage. Soft, a little skittish. Dog to dog social, good greetings.

Male: Male: Clinic assessment: Unable to get out for eval. Have been unable to exam.

Enrichment staff: I got this boy out for a walk yesterday with no issue, was actually easier coming out than his sister-wife. On the walk, he was pretty reserved but seemed relaxed about me petting him and would stop and smush his face into my leg when I'd pet his head. At one point an EMS guy started to approach us to ask about him, and he stayed calm. He did see something off in the distance though (still not quite sure what it was) and started pulling and wheeling around on the leash at one point. But it passed relatively quickly and he was fine for the rest of the walk and good going back in. Has been really good in-kennel with me -- takes treats gently and presses against the gate for me to pet him. Has been good with me reaching my arms in to give him pets -- closes his eyes and leans in. Will try to get him out tomorrow.

We urgently need fosters for these sweet babies!! They are all located in Ohio and are listed as adults, 2 males and 1 female. More info is forthcoming as we learn more from the shelters they are at. However all shelters are way over max capacity right now and having to make very difficult decisions!! 🥺☠️ We have been massively inundated with people and shelters reaching out to us for help within the last couple of weeks!! The shelters are trying so hard to save as many dogs as they can be we need more fosters to help them! Please help us save lives this holiday season!! 🙏🏻💔

Hi all! I’m Ritchey & I am unfortunately back again waiting for my furever home. I’m a 2 years old sweet, goofy, full of energy boy 💙

I have been bounced around a lot in the past few months. Nothing seems to go right for me. I had a food issue which has gotten better when I did a board & train. I’m good with older kids & dogs with slow introductions. I LOVE people like love them. I just want to get all the lovings. I love people in my home but can be protective outside of the home. I do best with positive reinforcement. I love to play & snuggle. I would love a home with one person I can truly bond with & who is a strong handler. Please let me find my person for the holiday season 🎄❄️I want to find my furever home & not move again! 🥺

Who has a love for tripods? Oreo is a 4 year old pittie mix that was adopted from us 4 years ago & is now being returned. We now need an urgent foster for this sweet girl. She loves to cuddle & play. She is good with older & younger kids & laid back dogs. She needs a strong handler. Unsure about cats. She is crate & house trained. She is UTD on vetting. Wrapping up all of our highlights, we would like to thank each and every one of our followers, supporters, volunteers, and adopters!! We thank those who have so generously donated to support us today and every other day, and feel beyond blessed our mission is so near and dear to so many others. 💗

We have enjoyed highlighting so many lucky pups we have been able to save and find their forever homes. This has just been a small fraction of all of the dogs that have benefited from your generosity, love, and support! 💘

Rico was a shelter pull that was at extreme euthanasia risk in Virginia. Thankfully, he landed the most perfect family that has been so willing to work with him and some of the behavioral issues he had that prompted his “prior family” to dump him at the shelter. 😘

Knox was actually an owner surrender request that we knew we had to help. His mom at the time reached out to us in desperate help because she knew if she took him to the shelter he would be euthanized and she didn’t want that for him. Unfortunately the situation was no longer a fit for everyone in the house, but we were able to find Knox exactly what he needed. His new mom loves him dearly and is kept wildly entertained but his silly antics. 🥰

Iceman and Jester came to us from a rural shelter in Michigan. The shelter staff reached out to us in hopes we could provide them with what they needed vetting wise and find them the best homes after their prior owner unexpectedly passed away. They are both living incredibly loved lives with the best families! 💙

Our hearts soar for Remi! Remi and his mom were pulled from a rural shelter in West Virginia after both became euthanasia risks. Remi’s mom was quickly adopted, but unfortunately Remi went unwanted for so long. Remi just recently landed the most incredible dad that loves him dearly and gives him all the love and attention he’s always deserved! 💗

Axel came to us from a local police department in Ohio after he had been there for a few days and the county animal control had been unable to pick him up due to lack of space. While he himself was not at risk for euthanasia at the moment, we knew for the local animal control to come get him, space would have to be made. We didn’t want any dog to lose their life, so of course we took him! His foster family quickly foster failed and have been so happy to have a rottie back in their family again. 💝

Again, thank you all for everything!!! We look forward to continuing to save more and more pups with all of the love and support we are always shown! 💖

Giovanni and Maizy were both euth list pulls from a local shelter. Giovanni was thought to be heartworm positive but is actually a healthy pup thriving with his new family. Maizy is still available for adoption in Avon Lake, OH.

Mattie was a pup who found herself on the euth list in MD but thanks to a terrific foster & amazing adopter she’s home & settled in GA. Can you believe her adopters flew to MD then drove her home?! Talk about a little Georgia Peach 🍑

Cely was a sweet & shy girl who was not going to make it out of an AL shelter. She’s living the good life with her Mommy who foster “failed” her.

Lastly, Charli found herself living outside & needing our help. Her foster family stepped up & boy did they love her. It took everything they had to give her up but they did it so she could live the BEST life with her new family!

Amara was a shelter pull from Pennsylvania as she became a euthanasia risk due to no fault of her own. Thankfully we were able to step in, save her, and then find her the most perfect family! Her family has went above and beyond for her and she is now the queen of her castle. 👑

Callie was pulled from a small shelter in east Texas around the same time as Zeus. Both euthanasia risks and heartworm positive. Taking on multiple heartworm positive dogs for any rescue is scary, but we didn’t let it stop us from saving her! She was so emaciated she had to stay in Texas quite a bit longer than Zeus before her temp foster was able to get her healthy enough for transport. During that time we found the best forever family for her, and she is living the best life with her mom, dad, and 2 fur siblings! ♥️

Thor was dumped in a very high kill shelter in Oklahoma by his previous owners. He was in the shelter less than 48 hours before he was set for euthanasia. We were able to make a miracle happen for that pup, by finding a temp foster to take him and sending that life saving tag in hours before euthanasia began that day! His foster loved him so much he never left! 😂💘

Spud was pulled from Cleveland City Kennel after we were contacted and told he needed to be out that day or it was going to be his last for nothing more than space. He now has the absolute most loving family who couldn’t adore him more! 🥰

Bodie was pulled from a local shelter in Ohio with a situation similar to Spud. He had been picked up after being dumped by his previous owner because the shelter did not have room to take owner surrenders. Once he was picked up from the local police department by the county dog shelter, he was deemed to have failed the food test and listed as a dog with behavioral issues. This unfortunately put him at the top of the list for capacity euthanasia. This handsome dude is still in an amazing foster looking for his forever family! 💝

Cassidy, Case, and Caesar were all pulled from the same shelter in Alabama when we were alerted they had mere hours until euthanasia and were only 7 months old! All of them in their forever loving families now. 💙

Blaze was pulled from a very rural southern Texas shelter as soon as we were alerted to him being at the shelter. We did not even want him having enough time in the shelter to face euthanasia as many dogs there do. Blaze hit the lottery with his now forever home! 💚

Walter was pulled from a southern Texas shelter who was also mere hours from euthanasia at only 6 months old before we pulled him. We were made aware he was back on the ☠️ list for the day after a different rescue had tagged him from the list prior and then dropped the tag. He has now found the best forever family to live out the rest of his life with! 💜

Rena was removed from a terrible living situation in Ohio after police had been alerted she had been out mid summer in the heat and sun with no accessible housing or food/water visible either. Trust us, this girl is living her BEST life! ♥️

Beau was a shelter pull from southern Texas after the family who initially found him reached out to us. At the time they contacted us, they had no idea we were based out of Ohio so they then took him to a shelter in an area where euthanasia is EXTREMELY high. Before even taking time to learn about the shelter he was at, we immediately reached out and pulled him to make sure he was safe. Beau now has his own personal pool, and staff…err we mean family to go with it. 🤣

Tex was another shelter pull from Texas who was only 6 months old at the time and at critical risk of euthanasia for space! This boy truly lucked out and found an amazing family in Texas, again with his own pool as well! 😂

Rocco was another sweet baby at high risk of euthanasia at a shelter partner in Indiana, and now lives his best life with a REAL alum adopter who was devoted so much to helping this boy be the best version of himself! 😍

What is so different about this post is how the dogs are listed at the top together. Cassidy and Blaze have found their forever home together with an amazing dad and older fur sister! 🥰 Rena, Beau, and Caesar are all also together between a mom and her daughter, who also have one other dog from REAL, making them a family with 4 current REAL alums!! 💗

Big Mac was on the euth list with our shelter partner. He failed his temperament test but a special family adopted him & he is living his best life now💙

Marco was on the euth list at a shelter in PA that just wasn’t entirely familiar with the breed. After urgent pleas a family from CT made the trek to save him!

Diamond is a sweet old gal who found her furever with her foster family

Makoto is our severe heartworm positive dog who still may have underlying neurological affects but we are doing our best to figure out what is going on. She is available for adoption.

Baine was on the euth list at our shelter partner. Without our rescue tag & his adopter, Victoria stepping up he wouldn’t have made it out. He now lives the life with his family & fur brother in VA!

Horizon was a long time foster who found a special foster who dedicated time to helping him thrive then he found the most special adopters where he lives life like a King 👑

Sunnie was a special long term foster for a military member. His foster Jessica kept him safe for a few months while his Mom, a service member needed help. He is now safely home with his Momma Nancie & fur brother 🇺🇸

Ritchey was a board & train client who is still in between homes. He is such a special boy but is thriving with patience.

As Thanksgiving dinners wind down and people move on to their sweet treats, don’t forget about our Pudding that’s as sweet as pie. 🥧🎃 She would love to find her forever home for the Christmas festivities this year. 🎄♥️💚♥️

Pudding is an all around amazing girl that is 3 years old and possibly a Cane Corso/Boxer mix. She is an absolute doll that is dog friendly and has been around older kids in her foster home. We have no reason to think she wouldn’t be ok with smaller kids, but a meet and greet would obviously be required to confirm that would be a fit for her. She came to us from Cleveland City Kennel for being at risk of euthanasia for nothing more than lack of space. 😢 We do not know how she would be in a home with cats unfortunately.
