Beloved Son: Finding his inner child ❤️
One day I found a well
But I simply couldn’t tell
If it were made of stone or wood
So I figured that I should
Give it a proper look
So I found a little nook
Bout 2 or 3 foot wide
By the conker tree, on the northeast side
Peeping through the leap-long grass
And giving the well a second pass
A little man sprung out
And exclaiming with a shout
“What’s this all about?”
His eyes began to scan
And without a second plan
My nerves had all turned stiff
The little man took a great big whiff
He had found my hidden abode
But as he made a quick approach
Something appeared to be
The little man was me!
‘Cept he stood approximately 3 foot 3
He approached me with swift glee
For he knew that it was me (or he)
With tears streaming down his face
He uttered but a single phrase
“I’ve been down there for so long,
I thought that you had gone.
I hoped you would have more haste”
And with nothing else in place
The was a warm embrace.
That was the day, it seems
I had found my mini-me.

Beloved Son: Do you want the door shut?
Mum: No, leave it open please
Beloved Son: I'll close it, otherwise I'll be tempted to come in and talk
Mum: OMG! You can't help yourself can you? You'll be in my face even when I'm dead!
Beloved Son: Yeah, and it will probably be annoying, especially for people at your funeral
