🌸 Flashback to my wedding planning days... I was completely captivated by those gorgeous peonies I saw in bridal magazines. Their full, fluffy petals were the perfect touch of softness I wanted for my bouquet. I eagerly placed my order with the florist, dreaming of them being part of my big day.

But just a couple of weeks before the wedding, I got the call—no peonies in February! Feeling disappointed and not knowing much about flowers then, I switched to roses.

Fast forward to now as a flower grower and florist, and I think back and wonder... why didn’t they mention peonies don’t bloom that time of year? They're a spring bloom, starting in October and finishing by December! 🌿

Maybe it’s that missed chance that’s made me slightly obsessed with peonies now!

And while they aren’t readily grown in the North Island, I have some exciting news: I’ve secured peonies from a South Island grower! 🎉 So we can all enjoy the beauty of these stunning flowers together.
