👋Time for our “What’s up Wednesday?” update!

Check out the photo of our vehicle wrap “proof” from ridgelinesignsco in BV! We are excited about this and hoping the wrapping will be completed by the end of the month. 🚐🐾🏔️

The progress at the mechanic is not as exciting. Apparently the generator that was ordered has still not arrived and this is delay in installation is one of the key issues with our timeline. We are staying in touch with the mechanic and crossing our fingers the installation will be completed soon 🤞🚐

Supplies and equipment are beginning to arrive and we are continuing to work on the practice management software and website. Once we “go live”, you will be able to create a personalized Pet Portal for your pets via a link from the website. This tool will provide you the ability to schedule appointments online, request and order prescriptions in the online pharmacy and view your pet’s medical history (once we’ve examined them), and correspond with us via text/email. More to come on this later!

Stay warm out there Leadville and stay tuned! ❄️

Happy New Year! Time to start planning for all the fun things you want to do in 2025. We recommend starting by putting PPL's annual Mardi Gras inspired celebration on your calendar for February 1 at Freight with food by the Silver Llama and live music with the Smelted Hearts! Tickets are now available and this event has sold out each year, so get yours before they are gone.

New Year's Day Closure Notice! 🎉

Please note, we will be closed on New Year's Day and will reopen Thursday, 1/2, ready to assist you and your pets.

As we ring in the New Year, keep these few tips in mind to keep your pets safe during the celebrations:

- Keep them indoors – Loud noises from fireworks and celebrations can be stressful for pets. Keep your pets inside to reduce anxiety and potential escape risks.
- Ask your vet about medication – If your pet is especially anxious around fireworks, talk to your vet about calming medications or natural remedies to help them relax.
- Create a calming space – Set up a cozy, quiet spot away from the noise where they can relax. Use blankets, toys, or calming music to help them feel secure.
- Avoid toxic foods – Resist the urge to share your holiday treats with your pets! Foods like chocolate, grapes, and alcohol can be harmful to them.
- Secure the trash – After your celebration, make sure your trash is secured to prevent your pets from getting into leftovers or dangerous items.
- ID and microchip – Ensure your pets have up-to-date tags, and consider microchipping them in case they get spooked and wander off.

Wishing you and your pets a safe, joyful start to the New Year!

UPDATE: ADOPTED!
Meet Reese!

Reese is a gorgeous 6 month old spayed female puppy looking for a patient and loving home to call her own. This sweet girl was surrendered to our shelter when her family could no longer care for her. She loves people but can be a bit timid around new dogs. Once she knows the dog is there to play, she is ready for action! Reese hopes to find a home where she can gain confidence and learn that the world is a good place. She is learning her basic commands and how to walk on a leash and is doing great! Come meet Miss Reese, she will steal your heart!

With each paw print, she makes the day a little brighter! 🐾❤️
