I was worried that Rebel Mum would be getting tired of looking after chicks after 7 weeks, but apparently not. she was most insistent that those babies were hers. Silkies really are the best Mums.

I found a sneaky nest. They hadn’t started developing yet. I’ll see how they hatch 🤞. I could sure use the chicks so many orders for Cream Legbar girls. The one rolled off to the side was cracked. I’ll find out soon how many hens are laying there.

An update on the Japanese Bantams.
I must say I find these little chickens just adorable and the eggs are about the same size as the silkies which surprised me as they are a much smaller bird.
