Two Dowdstown Moy pregnancies off 1 shipment. No drugs to get the mares to sync… the luck is amazing!!! One is a full sibling to the filly pictured “she’s retained by owner” and will be available in-utero!!! The second may be available after foaling. Both are ID x TB.

I take courses on equine nutrition every year as my personal furthering education. I feel like I need to scream this at nearly the entire Arab industry🤔 Horses should NOT be fed “meals” keep a free choice grass filled hay net “or better yet, grass turnout” in front of them all day/night. Supplement with Alfalfa. Add a very good Vit/Min sup. And for Fu($ sake, stop trying to make weanling/yearlings look like 3yr olds!!! I do add a triple crown junior or senior feed for the horses that need a little more weight.

The recurrence of ulcers is frustrating for owners, painful for horses and nearly guaranteed if the cause of the ulcers is not removed.

One of the most common causes of equine ulcers is an unsuitable diet... yet people can sometimes be reluctant to make the required changes 🤷‍♀️

Eliminating starchy grains & sweet feeds from the equine diet is rule number one… and yet many horse owners (especially those with performance horses) mistakenly believe that their horses have increased energy demands that require 'high energy' feeds to refuel them.

However evidence backed studies have now proven that horses perform better on forage only diets.
