Bo is a very affectionate smart boy. He is a mixed breed dog, we don’t do DNA testing, however our educated guess consists of more than 10 breeds. Among them Black lab retriever, pointer, boxer, border collie, multiple bully breeds, and a few others. He is about 3 years old.

He was retuned to us after being in a home with a smaller dog and two young boys. He was not doing well with the smaller dog playing to rough and is possessive of his toys and food, reason he was returned. If we had not known already, he was the dog who showed us dogs experience human emotion. He cried in my lap for three solid hours. He loves to play ball and run free. They didn’t have a fenced in yard so he had no time off leash. With the right adopter Bo will be an amazing companion. He loves to snuggle, get belly rubs and his ears and head scratched. Very sweet loving friendly boy.

Meet baby Bear! This little sweet puppy gal is 14 weeks. Pictures are worth 1000 words. You would not know it by the way she is laying so nice. Three of her litter mates were running all around her, plus three siblings from the litter before her. She is very attentive. I told her I was taking her adoption pics and she fully cooperated!

Update on Terza! This ole lady is so loved and cared for by her adoptive family. Look at her transformation. Picture in the left taken 5 yrs ago at Hernando County Animal Services. Thank you Steven and Elisabeth Capps for all you have done for her. She is such a sweetheart!

Sweet Myra on her ride and wait for annual blood work. Myra came to us in extremely bad condition. We could barely touch her, she had no fur, was bright red, sticky and had ulcers in both of her eyes.

She now must be on meds for life. She has come so far, yet when people see her that had not seen her before her rehabilitation they think we did this to her. It breaks our hearts. We have tried to find her a home of her own and have loved her like our own since the day she came into rescue.

Her medical bills are extensive. We will not give up on her. We will continue to keep her as comfortable as possible, while properly caring for all her needs.

We have had a terrible adoption rate over the past couple years. We would appreciate any help we can get. Lost our ability to pick up dog food and treats from the food bank. Desperately need food, treats, toys, bones, blankets, new crates, towels, paper towels, assistance with medical costs.

Hernando County Animal Services is currently over capacity to the point we are having to make some difficult decisions. The following seven dogs have Urgent Pleas on them one with a deadline.

Buster Brown 10316557 is a male terrier mix and about 95.5 lbs. He was impounded by animal enforcement due to his owner being mentally unfit to care for herself or her animals. Buster Brown needs a firm owner to tell him what to do. He has been in and out of the shelter over five times in the past couple of years. He does not do well in the shelter environment and needs to find a rescue as soon as possible. Due to Buster Browns deteriorating behavior in his kennel and his prior lengthy stays, he is an urgent plea with a deadline of 4:00pm on 9/12. Ariel 103335210 is a female Terrier mix and about 62 lbs. She was originally found as a stray off of Richloam Claysink Road. Ariel is extremely friendly and wants all the attention from people that she can get. She enjoys back rubs and butt scratches to the fullest. She is dog selective and has gotten into a minor fight through the fence with another dog. Ariel has pustules and epidermal collarettes with seborrhea on her whole body and will need someone who is able to continue skin issue treatments. Dillinger 103335342 is a male terrier mix and about 50lbs. He was originally found as a stray on Mondon Hill Road. Dillinger can be a little strong on a leash at first but then walks well when away from the shelter. He does not seem to be dog social but is able to be redirected when needed. He has a jump up play style and mostly enjoys being petted in the yard after some zoomies. Dillinger does have a cut to his foot that needed stiches. He is expected to make a full recovery. Magnus 103335092 is a neutered male Catahoula mix, 87.3lbs, heartworm negative and approximately 4 years old. He was abandoned at a vet clinic by his previous owner. Magnus is a big lap dog that is very strong and thinks he is part couch potato. We suggest no other dogs or cats with him because he has not been the best with other furry friends. He is very strong and needs leash work. Magnus loves belly rubs and listens well considering he came from a not very nice to him home before we got him. He would most likely need someone who can give him exercise (to lose some weight and excess energy) and structure in a home. Tully 103334935 is a neutered male terrier mix,32.2lbs and approximately 3 to 4 years old. The dog was found on Tavern Road as a stray. Tully was returned for not getting along with the cats in the household. While adopted out the adopter stated that he did wonderful with 12- and 15-year-old teenagers, as well as family and friends. He was good with their dog and has seemed to be non-reactive to dogs at the shelter and tries to invite play. Tully is strong and full of energy and would do well with daily exercise. He does have leash manners and is easy to leash up and take out. If anyone can help this handsome boy, please contact [email protected] as soon as possible.

Orion 103335405 is a male terrier mix and 60.1lbs. This dog was originally dumped over someone’s fence as a stray. He seems to be good on a leash and loves tennis balls. He does know some basic commands such as sit and shake. He is no cats and dog selective. He would do best in a home that can give him a nice mixture of play and affection. Liam 103335245 is a male terrier mix and approximately 40lbs. We are looking for a rescue to pull this dog for the remainder of the quarantine for bite wounds of unknown origin. Liam is very puppy like and caves attention from people. He is very eager to play and has a lot of personality to go around. He takes treats very nicely and seems to be non-reactive to dogs walking by the kennel. The foster for this dog would need to be in Hernando County or a county that will approve a quarantine transfer that will be approved by their local health department. Bo just turned two. This little boy is super smart. He deserves agility training! He is very fun to work with. Enjoys the pool and shows trust in it. Nervous getting in then melts into it. SO FUN!

We have several young dogs who desperately need to be guided to their forever home. Here are pictures of a few of them.

I, Maisie the founder of our rescue have been dealing with serious medical issues for a long time, the past 5 years being the most difficult. I started the rescue and worked it hard for several years. Sadly I have physically not been able to manage the steady stream of many litters of puppies and their mamas left to fend for themselves for a couple years now. My husband bares a large part in the daily efforts of caring properly and with extra love for the dogs under K-9 Rescue Partners. We stand by our dogs. Nandy was one of the many puppies properly adopted out of our rescue.

I can remember the day we brought her litter home. Twelve, gorgeous six week old puppies. I carried her on my lap from Hernando County Animal Services while my husband drove to the songs of crying puppies. They were hungry, tired, dirty with filth you could hardly imagine, and lots of meds to reverse the effect of parasites not addressed soon enough. This after being properly cared for by the shelter!

Litter after litter, this litter in particularly, no idea where was mama. It was the most painful to know mama was left behind to deal with who KNOWS what. My heart will always have a broken piece knowing the cruelty that is done to animals. To NEVER understand how any human could ever hurt them intentionally in any way. I will mourn until death the many that pass and never know love. Thankful for the few that make it out of shelters and rescues into a home with people who never give up and love them to the day they take their very last breath.

I’m not sharing this information for myself. The purpose is to plea for good people to apply to adopt our young dogs. Also, as a PLEA to so many. Cleans your soul, give your heart to the animals in you local shelters by volunteering, donating, fostering, rescuing and adopting! Adopting being the greatest gift of all! It is never their fault to have landed in a shelter and it is our job to get them out.

Nandy is a great girl. She loves everyone! She is a 3 year old sweetheart. She is completely house broken, very confident when home alone.

Nandy has a lot of good energy and needs to be able to run and play and loves going for walks. Her current owner can no longer give her what she needs, due to unforeseen heath issues.

We received a call today to help this family. The person surrendering found mama on the side of the road and has had her for two years. They unfortunately can no longer care for her and her babies. They did not spay and their friend did not neuter. Let’s not judge or blame. The fact of the matter is this Mama needs a home and her puppies are still too young to be removed from her. We are asking for a person with a great big heart to step forward to foster or adopt mama and foster her babies until they can be adopted. Bella and her babies need placement or another rescue today! UPDATE: Arya has been adopted by a wonderful family who will never give up on her. She is now their daughter and has a great brother Jonesy who also loves her. She will get to live an amazing life on a fully fenced 5 acre lot with a beautiful home. Excercided and loved as she deserve with tons of play time, snuggles and her mama makes them home made food with good kibble for all their health needs! ❤️ Donations are always appreciated for our remaining rescue dogs. They need treats, toys, food and medicine. We keep them on the same food not to upset their tummies. It costs no less then $500 a month to maintain the rescue. They wanted me so bad and me them, but I’m just too strong on leash for them and their yard was not big enough for me to get out all my energy with full strides of running. HI! My name is Bo…

I’d really love to be adopted into a home where my people keep me forever! I’m two now! I’m a sweet boy, love to snuggle and go for long walks. I’d love to have a person who will take me hiking.

I don’t like to share, nope, not one single bit! But I am very smart and agile. Would do great with agility training. I don’t mind others of my kind but I mean it! I DONT WANT TO SHARE! So don’t even attempt to make me. I must be your only animal receiving your attention.

I’m not very big, only about 45 pounds. My siblings seem to be lab/hound/pointer/boxer mixes. I’m just an all American dog, all black not spots or markings at all. I do good going potty outside. I would like a yard that is fenced so I can run free sometimes and not always have to be walked on a leash. You know it is the law to walk me on leash, right? It is for my safety. You wouldn’t want me to startle and run into traffic or something bad like that.

Hello, I network beagles into rescue and am contacting you in hopes that you can help a sweet 4-year-old male beagle in Auburndale, FL who is being given away for free on Craigslist.

This poor baby is living outside in a concrete-floor pen.
I have gotten in touch with his owners, who are very anxious to “get rid of” him. He is very sweet and friendly and is great with other dogs and kids. Attached is a photo of this beautiful little beagle.

I’m very concerned he is going to get into bad hands (backyard breeder, dog fighter looking for bait dogs, etc.) since his owners are giving him away for free on Craigslist to whoever will take him.

Can you please get back to me ASAP (tonight if possible) since his owners are waiting to hear back from me. This precious beagle boy deserves to be safe inside with a family getting the love and attention he so deserves.

Our shelter is very full. To the point where we are having to double up on our guillotine kennels. We are in desperate need of help. Here are just a few of our long timers. If anyone can help place even one of these dogs it would help us immensely. Thank you for your time!

Lucy (10329040) is a 3 year old hound mix that came in back in October with her sister Ethel. She is very food motivated. She is approximately 70lbs, and is fully vetted and ready to go. She is dog selective, and tends to do best with dogs that are more calm. She loves humans, and has not displayed any dislikes other than with high energy dogs.

Ethel 10329039 is a 5 year old hound mix that came in with Lucy back in October. She weighs approximently 55lbs, and is fully vetted and ready to go. She is dog selective, and does not like cats. Playing with the volunteers is one of her favorite things to do.

Lola 10329849 is approxiamtly 4 years old. She came in as a stray in December. She will be fully vetted before she leaves unless a rescue is wanting to provide that service. She does seem to be barrier reactive and dog selective. She is a very spiritfull girl and loves affection and attention. Her favorite thing is to going out to the sprees and to run around with our volunteers.

These girls are 7 yrs old and their loving owner/Mom recently passed and are looking for the perfect home for both of them.
