HoundMade Crafts for Pets and Their People
One Lucky Dog Leads to Another...
In 2015 during a lonely time in my life, I was rescued by an amazing dog named Lucky. She inspired hundreds of people with her joyful and passionate spirit, despite being paralyzed in her hind end after being struck by a vehicle. Lucky rolled through life in her wheelchair bringing love and hope everywhere she went. She wanted a playmate, and soon her three-legged brother, Amarillo, joined the family. Complications related to Lucky's paralysis sadly ended her life way too soon. Guided by Lucky's courageous heart, I was eventually rescued by three more special needs dogs: Teddy who is blind, Lucy who is missing a rear leg, and Annie.
Rescued By Dogs...
Crafting comforted my soul after losing Lucky, and eventually also helped to pay down the mountain of debt that accumulated from trying to save her life. Every houndmade item is crafted with care and attention to detail, with the intention of sharing happiness and love from our family to yours. We are pleased to donate a portion of our sales to animals in need, in memory of our beloved Lucky.
