We offer riding instruction, horse boarding, and provide our riders with the opportunity to learn from a variety of coaches and clinicians. Willing to feed grain that you provide. When weather is safe your horse will be turned out to graze and play in our large pastures. Stalls w

ill be mucked for you. Semi Care: Options are available for owners who share their horses with our riding program and assist with mucking their own stall. Outdoor Board: Horses living outdoors will have a spacious run-in shed, a large bale of hay that is held within a slow feeder net and a pasture that is plentiful for them to graze and play in. We will also have salt licks and 'toys' in their pasture to enjoy. All owners are asked to have OEF insurance for their horses and self. Riding Instruction: Our instructors are patient, FUN, fair and firm when necessary to bring out your best. Riding instruction is taught year round for EVERYONE at EVERY LEVEL. West Meadow Stables offers a variety of clinics and private lessons designed for your particular level. We offer year round horseback riding lessons from beginner to advanced & have a superb team to work with. Horseback riding is an excellent learning experience at every stage of life. Children will be given the opportunity to learn about patience, compassion for another being, responsibility, sportsmanship and a lot more. Our lessons include grooming, tacking, groundwork and riding. Lessons generally run for 1 - 1.5 hours. The owner encourages a cooperative work atmosphere where staff and students are strengthened by the diversity and contributions of each member. She Provides a high level of service, while ensuring a safe, fun and healthy environment that encourages all staff and students to respect one another. Leading by example is very important to her and she is always sure to recognize and reward positive behaviour and efforts.

West Meadow Stables is adding an experienced Riding Instructor to join our team 🌟

We strive to provide a friendly and positive environment for all, that encourages opportunities to learn, experience, and grow. Whether one engages in Riding Instruction, Coaching, Therapy, or Wellness, we assure a positive and welcoming environment.

Day-to-day you will be responsible for instructing lessons to children and adults from age 6 +, beginner to advanced.

Candidates must have passion and experience in working with horses, children, teens and adults. We are seeking an individual who has a high degree of empathy, patience and enthusiasm. This position will suit someone who is very organized and who can multi-task.

A typical day will include:
· Cleaning the barn, feeding, and caring for the animals (approximately 2 hours)
· Instruct riding lessons, Beginner to Advanced
· Managing the barn supplies, farrier & veterinary needs of the horses

The ideal candidate understands the importance of customer service, has demonstrated ability to build strong customer relationships and overall has a great attitude. Must be able to lift 25 pounds and have experience working with horses.

Our farm is open daily and on weekends. Competitive wages.
Compensation based on experience.

*Please outline if you have a knowledge of basic equine first aid, have experience driving a tractor, or have any experience working with young horses (ground work).*

Job Types: Part-time
Part-time hours: 6-20 hours per week (based on availability)
Expected start date: TBD
Schedule:
* 3-6 Hour Shifts
* Tuesday, Wednesday and/ or Thursday afternoon/evenings
* Saturday hours available
Experience:
* Horse: 4 years (Required)
* Instructing: 1 year (Preferred)

Salary: Based on experience. Ranges from $17.00 - $20.00 /hr.
