My Doggie Diner donates our custom feeders to animal rescue groups and attends many charitable events throughout the year in an effort to help our furry friends find their forever homes. But why a feeder in the first place? Do you notice your dog lying down next to or in front of their dish while eating? This is because bending down to eat is very uncomfortable. Can you imagine leaning over to eat your food directly off the dining room table? In pets, this can lead to gulping and gobbling down of food, messy feeding areas, trouble swallowing, bloating (volvulus), and in some cases mega-esophagus (not made up), when food accumulates in the esophagus rather than finding it's way into the stomach leading to vomiting, choking, and sometimes serious health problems.
