Meet Tucker!
Welcome to our latest puppy trainee on board!
Tucker is a 3-months old Boykin Spaniel preparing to be a trailblazing outdoor companion and a well-mannered indoor lounge buddy! We are excited to work with him and his dedicated handlers, Mike and Debbie.
Daily, short, play-session routines are great ways to practice what our dog has already learned and keep them active as they age mentally and physically too. Simon and I are ballplayers. What's your and your dogs' play routine?

Check out this cute 1-year-old Aussie shepherd, Lucy, who came to us for manners training and confidence building. Lucy recently relocated to our area, so she's still getting used to her new environment. As a sensitive personality, she needs some training help to clear the bumps along the way and speed up the adjustment process. Lucy says hi!
Congrats to Siri and her handler, Hanna! Siri has graduated from our B&T program with straight A's in manners training, plus she learned a new skill! Catch 2.0!

Scatter feeding during thunder
Watch with sound on! 👂⛈⚡️🐕
Thunder and noise phobia is one of the most common reasons for anxiety in our dogs. It's challenging to aid when symptoms are already present and often require additional products like calming pheromones' or even medication. Fortunately, puppies can quickly learn to associate potentially stressful events with fun stuff like food. This learning process is called classical conditioning and is always in action whether we like it or not. Simon has learned to cope with the stress caused by the thunder through foraging for his kibbles. Our dogs' appetite during stressful events indicates their level of anxiety. Suppose Toto accepts your treat during a storm despite his barking upon hearing thunder. In that case, you have an excellent opportunity to utilize scatter feeding to relieve his confusion and give him a way to cope.
A snippet of our latest epic training session with Lulu and her handler, Danielle, during which Lulu successfully learned a new cue to go to bed. Watch out for a flying puppy!
