HUGE CAT NEEDS HOME: We haven't had a cat this large since the famous "Sponge Bob" in 2012.

Penny may not technically be as big as the 33-lb. Spongebob, but due to her short stature, she is equally, if not wider, around. This is obviously a serious health risk for Penny, so we are determined to find her an adopter that will take her weight loss seriously and help her come down to a much healthier size. At only 5-years-old, she still has a long, happy life ahead of her.

Her current foster writes:

"Not sure how this sweet, well-fed tabby girl ended up homeless but she was rescued from unknown circumstances by a local woman. Unfortunately, that rescuer passed away leaving behind several animals before they could find homes. Penny was living with other cats and a dog and they seemed to co-exist just fine."
