Community Pet Food Bank Community Pet Food Bank collects and distributes pet foods to no-kill shelters and to families in need in 55 counties in New York State. Receipts gladly issued.

Each year over 6 million cats and dogs are killed by shelters. The overwhelming number of these are healthy animals. There are just not enough homes for them. So they are captured or abandoned, incarcerated and killed. The most common reasons for leaving a pet at a shelter are very sad. Many are left because their owners claim they can't take them to a new home, still others can't afford to feed t

hem. While we can't save all of them we can help needy families keep their pets. Believing all life is precious Community Pet Food Bank is an outreach of the Benedictine Church. We collect and distribute pet food to no-kill shelters and families in need. We currently service 10 counties in New York State. We can be found in the Greater Capital District, Central NY and the Southern Tier. All gifts of support and food are tax deductible. Please visit us at: communitypetfoodbank.org

Currently our services have been suspended. At this time we are not accepting donations of any kind, nor are we distributing food. We will hear before January 5th, 2024 if our program will be resumed or not.
