Hello everyone! Meet Sage, formerly known as Arturo, and Tokyo when he was a wee puppy!
Unfortunately, Sage was returned to us with multiple bite histories 😢 Sage is confused and his previous owner had done their best in navigating his training but it wasn’t successful. We are now back to the drawing board of restarting his journey of finding his forever home.
With this, we wish to reinforce that we never give up on the our adopted dogs and to also emphasise that circumstances are very unique to every rehome. In this case, it’s unfortunately a misfit. But let’s forget the past and move on. We will not be mulling over the “what ifs” but more of what we can do now.
He has since settled down in the shelter and also started on medications and special diet for his medical conditions:
IBD (Inflammatory Bowel Disease) and generalised anxiety.
IBD:
Sage experienced loose stools and gradual weight loss since May this year. He was severely underweight. He was subsequently diagnosed with IBD and dangerously low levels of Vitamin B12. He has since been started on medicines, supplements, and a special diet.
Generalised Anxiety:
Sage comes from a litter of puppies that suffer from genetic anxiety 🥲 They are highly anxious with a few of them displaying reactivity and aggression 😢 Few of his litter mates are taking mood suppressants and have benefited therapeutically. We’ve noticed improvements in their temperament and learning capacity which is encouraging and potentially weaning it off long term.
HELP SAGE
We are trying our best to treat him medically first before looking out for a foster home 🥲. In the interim, we’re still learning his triggers and his personality.
If anyone wishes to sponsor Sage kennel fees of $330 per month. Or portion of it?
We are seeking your support to help us defray Sage’s latest medical bills as well as your kind donations to help with his supplements and special diet.
You may paynow to LTV 9179 3423, kindly DM us once you’ve done so for tracking purposes.
Thank you everyone ❤️
