If any of our friends can help!
🚨HURRICANE UPDATE & NEW WAYS TO HELP🚨
In response to the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, we are adjusting our work to better serve the animals in our community who desperately need help. Until further notice, our Nursery will function as a triage center for kittens and nursing moms from hurricane affected areas. That means we will take animals in, provide the care they need to become healthy and stable, then we will be transporting them to shelters outside of Helene's path. This will help ensure we have the capacity to help as many critical or sick/injured kittens as possible in a short amount of time.
We will also be temporarily turning our classroom into a pantry that will allow us to distribute free pet food to our community. We will make an announcement once this service is available.
We still urgently need help in order to save as many impacted animals as possible during this extraordinarily challenging time. Here are ways to get involved:
📌 Monetary donations to help with medical care, supplies, etc can be made at kittenalliance.org/donate
📌 Pet food pantry items can be sent through our Amazon wishlist at https://www.amazon.com/registries/gl/guest-view/338R44K2F3ED7 This wishlist will grow over time to accommodate the needs of our community.
📌 Supplies or monetary donations may be dropped off at or mailed to our Nursery at 21 Pond Street Arden, NC 28704. Staff will be available from 10-5pm Monday through Saturday.
📌 If you'd like to sign up to deliver pet food to folks who are stranded and unable to pick it up, please email us at [email protected]
📌 If you are with a 501c3 rescue organization within 100 miles of Asheville, NC and are able to receive animals from impacted areas, please email [email protected]
Thank you for helping make sure the animals in our community get the help they need ❤
