Phone: 1-833-BOXERS1 Northwest Boxer Rescue is a non-profit, volunteer dog rescue organization serving the Pacific Northwest.
(2012)

We strive to rescue, medically rehabilitate, and re-home unwanted and abandoned Boxers, as well as providing education to pet owners. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into

their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist Boxers in distress without regard to age, condition or ease of placement.

Meet Prinz, a sweet and gorgeous boy who is longing for his forever home. Right now, Prinz is in a boarding kennel, where he’s been waiting for over a month. This isn’t the life he deserves—he’s yearning for the warmth and love that only a real home can provide. Sadly, we don’t have a single foster available to help him, so we are reaching out with hopeful hearts, asking for your help in finding him his perfect match. Prinz would thrive in a home with only women, where he can be the charming companion he was born to be. He dreams of cozy cuddles and being the one and only guy in your life. If you or someone you know could give Prinz the loving home he’s been waiting for, please reach out today. Let’s find this sweet boy the happy ending he truly deserves.

To see if you might be Prinz's forever home, email us!

Today is Tummy-Out Tuesday and there aren't many tummy's cuter than Miss Bella's! This 2.5 year old girl has blossomed into the most devoted and loyal dog partner anyone could want. She is learning how to play and enjoy life. Bella's foster family says she's a delight in the house and does not need a crate but could learn to use one. She loves car rides, belly rubs, and walks, of course the finest things in life. Her natural tail starts first thing in the morning and goes all day. Bella is an all-around happy girl that is looking for an active family that is willing to continue to help her bloom with training, and building routines.

This week's NWBR senior story comes from Lanna, who shares her story of Hoss. Although Hoss himself wasn't an alum of NWBR, his impact resonates deeply as he brought his family to NWBR rescue—a gesture emblematic of the loyalty and love that many boxers and their families embody towards the cause.

Hoss was already 7 and considered a senior by the shelter in Montana he was left at. Lanna and her partner John had been watching this particular rescue and knew immediately that Hoss was for them. Their adoption counselor worried that Hoss would be nervous, but he hopped right into the car, made himself at home, and spent the rest of the drive with his head on the center console between Lanna and John. He fit perfectly, literally and metaphorically, as all Boxers do!

Though he was a senior already, he was an adventuresome pup, constantly hiking, rafting, and boating. He attended work regularly and was considered a therapy dog at Lanna's office.

Hoss stayed with us for 7 more years, and passed peacefully in his dad's arms one evening, gracefully and on his own terms.

Lanna and John began participating at NWBR because of Hoss, and continued to participate and make donations in his name. https://www.nwboxerrescue.org/donate

Would you be able to open your home & heart to a boxer in need? Northwest Boxer Rescue relies on safe, caring foster homes to be there for boxers entering the rescue, as they wait to meet their furever family. A loving home they can be comfortable in, where they learn what it’s like to be part of a family, brush up on their skills and maybe learn a new trick or two! Could you open your door and save a life? Foster homes are always needed! Click on the link below for more information on how to help ❤
