My boys’ first time camping. We had a fun time. Lots of smells and people to greet. Their patience for other dogs was tested, as we don’t get out as much as I would like. But any exposure helps with my two, even in their senior years.

How cool is it that Kuvasz look like sheep. They are Hungarian flock guardian dogs. Though, these pups just guard themselves. Tofu and Feta are growing up fast. Tofu is gaining more confidence and Feta is still practicing her patience. Two puppies can be a challenge for most to raise. Two EXTRA LARGE puppies is a whole other level of ambition! Luckily these pups are very attentive during training and sweeeet!

Welcome this big 7 month old puppy, Bruno, to my training world. He was adopted a couple of months ago after being in a couple of other homes who had older adult dogs that didn’t appreciate having a puppy around. Bruno now lives as the only dog, though he is dog friendly, with a fantastic family.

Due to bouncing around, Bruno has been desperate for attention which he displays in mouthing his humans if they stop playing with him. This is fairly common.

We will begin working on basic obedience for cohesive communication, teach Bruno how to play on his own when needed and how to play with his humans to keep him in under arousal threshold. Stay tuned for his updates!

Great indoor nose work game that doesn’t need any training for.

Start with a very smelly treat like freeze dried liver or salmon jerky to get your dog to use their nose.

Then lower the smell factor with a less smelly treat like a regular soft meaty treat to make it more challenging.

You can even use a baked treat or veggies as the least smelly treat to search for.
