No one said this was going to be easy!
Being a rescue dog means exactly that. Being rescued from conditions and/or treatment that has damaged them mentally as well as physically. The road to mental recovery is going to be tough. Fear, anxiety and reactivity are all very real until we humans can convince them otherwise. Archie is on the right road now 💖💖

It’s time for us to move on. Olaf and Romeo left a huge gap in our hearts, and we need dogs in our lives. Another newfie is planned but they are few and far between. Plus we have more plans afoot in the year ahead which means, a far as puppies are concerned, will have to wait.
However, we do have a new addition, in the shape of a Mioritic Shepherd cross, all the way from Romania!
Meet Archie, 11 months old and expected to be quite big!
He has a few issues to work through, having had a rough start, but is well on the way to settling in. He is bright, quick and growing fast!
He’ll be the perfect brother for our next newfie by next year, we’re definitely a two dog family!

We have now lost both our boys. Romeo this December, Olaf last November, as you know.
The house is quiet, empty and yes, too clean.
Our hearts still ache, but we hope, in time, we can share our home with a 4 footed, huge hairy bear once more. This is too hard 💔
