Having grown up with dogs and being an adult dog owner, this is about showing off love for our pets.
‘Pet’ is a title that does them a disservice, as they are a part of our family, no different then our spouses, siblings and children. And frankly, some times we love them more then our spouses, siblings and children. Dogs are unique in how they fit into our lives. They are sources of unconditional
love. They give us companionship that is unwavering. They make us laugh and smile with their hijinks. And they get us to exercise, as they cannot walk themselves, and we all know that we need to get off our butts. We play with them: some love to fetch a ball; others love to hike; we can wrestle with others; we carry some in our bags so that they are with us all the time; and we take them to work so that others can enjoy them as much as we do. We take care of them by buying the best food, taking them for their check-ups, and doing whatever it takes to keep them healthy when something is wrong. We do this for them but we do it for ourselves, as we selfishly want them with us for as long as possible. We love our dogs. Show to the world how much you love your dog…and show of to your dog how much you love them.
