Dandelion is a 12 year old, 11 lb, white Mini Poodle. She is spayed, up to date on her vaccines and monthly preventatives, and heartworm negative.

Dandelion is a sweet and gentle dog. While she is not a big cuddler, she is an amazing companion who loves to be near her people. If her foster mom crouches down, Dandelion will come as close as possible and gently sniff her face in lieu of kisses.

Dandelion loves to doze in her comfy bed. She enjoys the company of her canine friends and is happy to relax with them. However, no doggie friend can compare to her joy and comfort in being around her people.

Dandelion prefers to shadow her person around the house. She does have separation anxiety. If she has run of the house she has been able to be alone for short periods of time.

Dandelion has had great success doing her business in the yard with and will occasionally use a potty pad as a back up. She is also making great strides with harness training and walking on a leash!

Dandelion's ideal home would be a home with a yard with one or more people who are home most of the day. She could be a solo dog, however, as she comes from a hoarding situation, she is likely to adjust to a new home more quickly if she has a similarly sized dog who is friendly and confident. Dandelion has not be kid tested, given her age and size, her foster thinks she would be fine if dog-savvy visited her in her new home.

Hey folks, we wanted to take a moment and reintroduce Gimli!

Gimli has made amazing strides over the last 2 months in his foster home. His profile has been updated to reflect that!

Gimli is a 5 year old, 6 lb, chihuahua. He heart worm negative, neutered, up to date on his vaccines as well as his monthly preventative medications.

Gimli has been in his foster home for two months. He has recently had a breakthrough and has shown what a great dog he can be! When Gimli is comfortable with his people and you have gained his trust, he is a sweet little love bug that loves to cuddle on the couch, play, give kisses, and gobble up some treats.

If Gimli is properly introduced, he loves to make friends. However, he doesn’t like to be approached or touched by unknown people.

Gimli does occasionally enjoy his own personal space and this should be respected when that’s what he needs. He can show a bit of a Chihuahua-gremlin stereotype, crate training has been helping this in his current foster home.

Gimli is doing great with house training and will happily go potty in his yard. He will also go on short walks. He does prefer his yard to do his business over a walk.

In Gimli's previous situation, he bonded with one half of a couple more than the other and began resource guarding his preferred person. Gimli's current foster situation is with a couple and with intentional training this has improved! Although Gimli may attach to one person more, he is doing great in a two person home.

Gimli prefers the company of adults and we recommend he go to an adult only home. Gimli does well with other dogs and in a previous home got along with cats. He is capable of being a solo dog or living with fur-siblings.

Gidget is a 5 year old, 4 lb, chihuahua and yorkie mix. She is up-to-date on her monthly preventatives and vaccines. She is heartworm negative and spayed.

Gidget's background is interesting, she is a dog from the hoarding situation. However, she was a personal pet and its clear she received some training.

Gidget loves people, she would love to be on your lap all the time. She is willing to share your lap with another small dog and enjoys having similarly sized fur-siblings.

Gidget sweet and clever dog who loves people. She is sassy and isn't afraid to remind you how stubborn and creative Chi/Yorkies can be. While she will try and con you into carrying her, she actually enjoys going on walks and she is most likely to do her business on a walk - generally in the middle of the sidewalk. Don't let her small size fool you, she now goes on two to three 15-40 minute walks daily with her foster sibling. She is doing well with house training and is working on using potty pads in the house.

Gidget is so clever that she will try and wait you out to see if you will cave or if you will actually make her follow through. Gidget knows a few commands (sit, lay down, settle, go to bed). Gidget is as stubborn as she is smart, she learned "touch" from her foster sibling.

Due to her size, Gidget will often alert bark when she is startled. It is very rarely a mean bark. She has separation anxiety and will howl if she is left alone for too long.

Gidget has 9 teeth, including her sweet snaggle-tooth. She eats a mixture of wet and dry food. She enjoys soft treats which helps with training.

Gidget's ideal home would have one or more people, preferably at least one person who is home the majority of the time. She would do well in an adult-only home or one with dog-savvy older children. While she could be a solo dog, she gets confidence from having other similarly sized dogs around and having one or more small fur-siblings would be preferable. Due to her vocal range, we do not recommend that she live somewhere with shared walls.

Adoption Pending!

Join Fawn's in giving a royal welcome to Queen! She is a 16 months old, 11 lbs, Australian Terrier mix. Queen is spayed, up to date on vaccines and preventatives, and heartworm negative.

Queen was originally bought for a family member. The person did not check to see if the living space allowed pets... For the last year she was living on a porch in a kennel.

Queen is a sweet low-riders, she is full of energy. Her foster siblings are teaching her how to play. She also loves toys.

Queen loves her people and will shadow you around the house. She enjoys sleeping in the big bed at night. She is doing great with potty training.

She is dog and cat friendly. We believe Queen would be most successful in a home that includes a confident fur-sibling.

When Queen gets excited she tends to jump and can be a little mouthy. For this reason, we are recommending that she goes to a home with adults or dog-savvy older children.

Adoption Pending!

Harry is a Pomeranian and Mini American Shepherd mix. He is about 2.5 years old and 25 lbs. He is up-to-date on vaccines and neutered.

Harry was heartworm positive and he finished a slow kill treatment for heartworm in October 2024. His adopter will receive a monthly preventative to complete his 12 month heartworm treatment which ends in November 2025.

Harry is equal parts love bug and fun pup! He loves to go for walks, snuggle on the couch, and play with squeaky toys too. While Harry loves rambunctious play, he has to keep it easy due to his heartworm treatment protocol.

Harry loves being with his family and will follow you from room to room. He is trained to sleep in his crate at night. Harry gets along great with other dogs and cats. He would be happy with fur siblings or as a solo dog. He has not been kid tested.

Meet Mr Dickens, he is a Shih Tzu mix and he is likely 13 years old. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines and preventatives, and heartworm negative.

Poor Mr Dickens, his mama passed away. He was found by one of her grandchildren in very sad condition. During his vet visit we discovered that he is 95% blind and 90% deaf.

Dickens is a sweetheart who loves quality time, snuggly laps, and car rides. He is a very good communicator and has several types of barks to express his needs. It took his current foster about a week to learn his primary communications:

1) He needs to potty outside, he is trained enough to know that he should not potty in the house.

2) He is thirsty and needs help finding his water bowl.

3) He needs love and wants to know you are nearby. He'll happily settle after being held or cuddled.

Dickens enjoys going on walks and a short daily walk is essential for keeping his muscles healthy.

Mr Dickens gets along with other dogs. While he has not been tested with children, based on his temperament his foster feels he would be fine.

Scotty is 2.5 year old, 8 lb, Shih Tzu mix. He is heartworm negative, up-to-date on his preventatives, and neutered.

Scotty is a shy boy who loves other dogs. He enjoys having playmates and will require 1 or more dog siblings in his new home. While Scotty loves having fur-siblings, he can be food aggressive so it is best to feed him separately.

Scotty tends to pick one person as his primary person and cuddle buddy. He has not interacted with any cats or children in his foster home.

Scotty has been doing well with house training and will go outside to do his business. He has shown a propensity for climbing and jumping onto tables.

* ADOPTION PENDING*

Whiskey is a very sweet boy who is around 10 months old. He is heartworm negative, up-to-date on his vaccines and monthly meds, and is neutered.

Whiskey has warmed up nicely in his foster home. He is doing well with potty training if he has a routine of being taken out every 3 or so hours. He is not a lap dog but will happily lay next to you on the sofa.

He takes a little while to warm up to people and seems to take longer with men than women. He will need some time to become comfortable in a new home and may prefer alone time at first. Even if you aren’t his person, he’s not the slightest bit aggressive even with new people.

Whiskey gets along great with other dogs but he does need to eat separately. He does not have any leash walking skills. This is not uncommon given his background. He has not been kid tested.

Check out Whiskey's full bio and submit an application on our site: https://www.fawnssmalldogrescue.org/adoptable-dogs/whiskey

Athena is about 18 months, 8 lbs, of puppy sweetness. She is up-to-date on vaccines, current on her preventatives, and spayed.

Athena loves other dogs. She loves to be held and cuddled but is shy. Due to love of other dogs, we recommend that Athena have doggie siblings in her new home.

She is doing well with potty-pad training overall, but hasn't shown interest in going out on a leash or doing her business in the yard. This is fairly typical for dogs with her background.

Athena has not been tested with cats. She has met her foster's granddaughter and was very calm. Due to her size and shyness, we feel that a home with respectful, dog-savvy children would be possible. She would also be happy in an adult-only home.

*ADOPTED*

Lizzy is up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm negative, and spayed. She is about 8 years old and just shy of 10 lbs.

Lizzy has adjusted nicely in her foster home. She was groomed recently and ready to find her new family! Like many dogs with her background, Lizzy is not leash trained.

As Lizzy is doing well potty pad training, we believe she would do fine living in an apartment. She would also do well in a house or condo with a fenced yard.

Lizzy is good with dogs and cats. In her new home she could be a solo dog or have fur-siblings.

Due to Lizzy's age, size, and background we feel an adult-only home or a home with dog-savvy older children would be appropriate.
