Imagine my surprise when I saw this beautiful coral snake resting on the edge of my bath early one morning. When I looked up, I saw that she had just shed her skin. Here it is, hanging from the ceiling.
I'm so glad we don't have to change our skin every time we grow!
She left a few hours later, probably in search of a juicy mouse or frog, which she would swallow whole. Real whole food! What an amazing digestive system to be able to deal with that. She will gain all the nutrients she needs by eating a whole prey animal.

Live, raw insects are an important source of nutrition for these delightful little monkeys. Eating the whole fresh carcass, including the guts would be the very best! They thrive on this.
