We are considering looking for a Guardian home for our Dee;
DeeDee is a 1 year old sweet girl out of Lincoln/Frankie. She is incredibly intelligent, motivated to work for her people and loves everyone. She is house trained, crate trained, fully vaccinated and registered.
Dee is not fully mature yet in size and is a petite girl at this time but will fill in as she gets older. Dee would do AMAZING in a home with someone interested in getting into obedience competitively, who likes to socialize their dog with people watching or even scent work. She would also do well in the future with therapy work once she matures more in her overly friendly greetings as she is the sweetest and very biddable.
She does incredible after a few minutes with anything you teach her - with less dogs in the home I do feel she will benefit to her fullest potential vs constant distractions. Dee loves kids.
I would ideally like to take a few weeks to brush up on her skills more at the polite / calm greetings and relaxing when in a stay position before she leaves for her new home; or can arrange classes that she can attend with her new second family. Again this will come quickly she just needs a little one on one time brushing up her skills.
What is a Gaurdian home? - I will be VERY selective on a home for Dee. It is a partnership that works together. She is a future hopeful for our small program. This means dee would need to be accessible from time to time for obedience classes, showing and scheduled health testing dates that I would need to bring her to as well as good communication with her new family.
When Dee retires from our program she will be spayed and registration will be transferred fully to her Gaurdian owner - this is not for everyone but can also be a fantastic option for some. It has great perks such as a quality healthy dog, ongoing support, boarding available for no cost plus more but it does require trust established between two parties, and a signed contract for this sweet girl until she is retired from our program. Dee would have to come to our home to whelp puppies in the future and would return back to your home once puppies go to their new families. ( Granted she is a prospect as she matures)
The ideal family/ person would reside within 45 minutes from Mount Forest, Ontario.
