Fun day out at Pine Hill with the Anchor Equestrian crew! I finally had a fun ride with Lettie for the first time in a couple weeks, and all is right with the world again.
I hauled Lettie out for a jump lesson at Power Track Eventing this morning. It was our first time riding with Christie and we had a great time. We mainly got to know each other and then worked on getting Lettie’s adjustability between jumps. Getting this extra 7th stride was hard work! 💪 I’m excited to have a place pretty close to home base I can haul in for lessons as needed.
Lots of nice flat dirt trails for moving out
I hauled Lettie and friends out for lessons with Ashley Shaw Dressage yesterday. It was even sprinkling some during our lesson and Lettie was able to stay pretty focused 💕
I need to start a workout regiment to get our fitness back up, and then maybe we’ll be able to make some more progress towards second level. I think collection is going to be a struggle bus for us both. We’re moving barns at the end of the month to a place closer to home, so my hope is that we’ll be able to get on a more consistent riding schedule!
Sunday first level test 1, some rough patches with canter and the free walk but I’m still happy with it
We had a great stadium lesson today with Elisa. We worked on pushing Lettie more forward and opening her neck so she can use her body better. I have such a tendency to want to choke her because I worry about her rushing the jumps or bolting away after. But pushing her more forward helped a lot and she was great 😊 we had such a fun weekend!
We’re at the Elisa Wallace clinic this weekend at Willow Draw. Today was cross country and we had a blast! Lettie was super and went right into the water and over the ditches. Elisa seemed to really like her. Tomorrow is stadium!
Lettie and Kari had their first jump lesson together today. They look so good! 😍
Lettie is still limping and a bit uncomfortable today. She’s able to put full weight on the foot but walking around still hurts. I’m going to try and get a vet out if I can, but otherwise we’ll just keep monitoring and hope it resolves soon 🤞
I spectated Lettie’s training ride yesterday. They look so good together 😍
Lettie and Ashley doing first level test 3
They looked so good!
Something spooky by the barn today turned Lettie into a full on Arabian stallion for all of 3 minutes 😂
Lettie got to play lesson horse again today. She was a perfect angel for Annika and it was so cute 🥰
I was out of town this weekend so I offered Lettie up as a lesson pony so she could get ridden, so that’s what she got to do! Stacie said she did so good even with the wind.
Lettie was a perfect little demo horse for Amanda while she was giving a lesson today. She was jumping really well and Amanda said probably the best she’s jumped for her. 😊
