A few pics of our rough scale python enclosure that we put together late last year. Universal rock background with heated caves and hides they can get into. 2m high and 1.5 long. Love seeing them moving around at night. They definitely use all the space we have given them.

Been very quiet on here as of late as we have been very busy with the start of the season and a few new projects we will be working on this year and the coming seasons.
Here is a couple of dragons from one of the new projects. They are settling in very nicely.

Now that the weather is getting colder we need to make sure that all of our reptiles are kept nice and warm. URS carbon fibre lights provide a great source of heat for a range of different reptiles. These lights don’t emit any light so they can be used for night and day use and have an extremely long life.

In recent times we have switched up a few things with the keeping of our animals. One of these is our heating. A couple of years ago we got asked to test out new heat lights from Ipetz/ultimate reptile supplies. The lights are carbon fibre infrared heat lamps. We tested these against some of the other heats lights we were using at the time and started to notice differences in the behaviour of our animals. The carbon fibre globe provides a different type of heat that allows the animals to be warmed as they would being out in the sun. Not emitting any visible light, they can be used for night and day use. They also have an excellent life on them, of 1-2 years. We have used them for a range of our animals including our crocodiles, monitors and beardies. These globes are definitely worth changing over to.

A few of the last hatchlings that are out the door tomorrow morning. And that just about wraps up our season for beardies. With around 800 produced it was a cracker of a season for us. Hopefully the girls are all up for it again next season. Time to take a break from these guys for now as we have a few other species that we are focussing on 🦎🦎
